  1. Very cool build, Randy. What a sleeper!
  2. Thanks guys!
  3. This has to be the best build I've seen of this kit. And that color, oh man does that look good on it! Great job on persevering through till the end.
  4. Good looking Charger, you can never go wrong with Cragars. I haven't decided what my next build will be yet, but do have this kit on the short list and seeing your's gives me some ideas.
  5. Thank you for those comments guys. Since joining this site, all of the talent on this board has really inspired me to contine trying to improve my skills & builds. Thank you everyone!
  6. Thanks a lot guys. Overall this kit went together really well, I ran into only a couple minor issues (as noted above). I'd recommend it to anyone, I might try to snap up another one or two of them. I agree about washing the panel lines. It's something I used to always overlook but now it's something I have to do to every build. I've been starting to add that detail to some of my older builds now, too. I really do need to pick up some Tamiya gloss sometime. For this one I did spray some Testors clear lacquer over it and polished it. While I didn't get a great shine, I'm ok with it.
  7. Other than maybe adding a wash to the wheels to darken them up a bit, I'm calling this one done. This kit went together pretty well, though I'm not real crazy the way the wheels attach to the hubs/brakes, and I had a hard time with mounting the fog lights. Paint is Tamiya TS-19 Metallic Blue, I didn't get a super shine out of it so I guess I'll call this a daily driver Lol. I had a bit of a hard time getting some good shots in the sun, so I took some with the sun blocked out for a bit of a filter effect, too. Oh, and I did paint the radiator cap after the shoot! Lol
  8. Hope you had a great birthday, Carl! May you have many more healthy and happy ones to come good friend!
  9. Beautiful work, Gene! My all-time favorite Mopar.
  10. Randy that Bonnie is beautiful! I've missed seeing your great builds and am glad you've gotten out of your building slump, we all get those from time to time (I'm in a mini-one right now).
  11. I have to agree with everyone, that color really is a perfect fit. Great looking model.
  12. The more I look at it the more I like it, and like others have said, those colors do suit the car well. Nice work, Bill. Thanks for sharing your process on the headlights, they look good and I may have to try that sometime.
  13. Another stunner for your collection, Steve. That Coronet truly is a work of art.
  14. That does look killer, I love everything about it. Great work Steve.
  15. Oh those are nice, like the colors on both of them. I've been meaning to convert/build one of these for quite a few years now, still haven't done it.......
  16. Loving your builds, Tom. Is that a resin hood? I have the MCW interior as well, but was thinking of taking the teardrop from the AMT 66 Galaxie and grafting it to the 63 hood. I'd like to go with a resin hood if possible, just haven't found one yet.
  17. Another super stock fan here, nice build of Don's ride. I built one last year, and have the decals for Hubert Platt's car to build someday, too.
  18. Love this build, you sure nailed the weathering, Chuck. Since this is a '80, I'd say this is modeled to look like what it would be in shape-wise in '81 after being driven in Michigan for a year Lol!
  19. I completely agree. Very sharp build and a great color choice.
  20. The wheels, stance, paint....what's not to love?! This is one beautiful Comet! Excellent work, Jon, thanks for sharing this!
  21. Yellow & black is always a great combo on these. A sharp looking build.
  22. Very cool project Ray! Love the colors and keep up the great work!
  23. That is a beauty, well done Harold.
  24. Thanks John. I've got a soft spot for Cutlasses, too. I've never owned one, but my Dad had a 71, and once nearly bought a 69 442.
  25. Very cool, wish I had the parts to build a 68. Wow, thanks a lot Kevin. I'm sure it's not the best one out there, but I sure appreciate the compliment. Thank you for all the compliments guys. It really is a good kit, no real issues to deal with at all.
