  1. Nice Poncho!
  2. I apologize if this site is already known to most of us here. I stumbled on it when I was looking for info on Doc Halladay and his Telstar cars. FWIW, I think it's a pretty cool site to bookmark and have available when you need pix of 70's floppers. On top of that, the captions make really good reading too. http://www.70sfunnycars.com/index.html
  3. Good build. Congrats!
  4. Same here... watching your progress on this one! This kit has been on my want list for some time.
  5. Good description of your frustration. We all have build stories like this one . Thanks for sharing!
  6. Because I use a caliper (not digital but good nonetheless) so often while building I leave it clamped in a small vise on my bench. That way, having only two hands most of the time, I'm able to operate the caliper while holding the wire or whatever I'm measuring more easily.
  7. Nice build!
  8. Keep that stance!
  9. Looks like a good project to follow along with!
  10. Watching this one!

The fuel filters look like high speed diodes? Look great.

    Great start!
  14. X2.... what I use all the time. Get them cheap on amazon.
  15. Good luck with the distributor wiring. Good wiring goes a long way towards a good engine compartment build! Look forward to seeing your 'Bee.
  16. Nice build Colby!
  17. Following....
  18. Great build! Love your weathering effort. Looks really..... realistic!
  19. The totes I'm using are clear plastic with clear plastic locking lids. Maybe 6" deep and maybe 30x18" long and wide. I call them "under bed" because that's how they're marketed. I just like them because they're shallow and are easier to look through. I stack them on each other in my shop, not under the bed
  20. When I finish a kit that has leftover parts I transfer them, along with the direction sheet, into a gallon (or quart) sized ziplock bag. I cut the end flap from the box and put that in the bag as well. I then keep the bags together in clear "under bed" totes. You know, the kind that are somewhat shallow but large width and lengthwise. I label the totes by year, or theme, of the kits. Any leftover tires and decals are the only thing I keep separate from the kits. For me, I find it easier to keep the parts like this rather than cutting them free from their sprues and trying to decide how to classify them to keep them with other like parts. It really doesn't take me too long to find kitbashing parts from these totes, but granted I only have maybe 30 or so leftover kits to go through.
  21. Nice build! I have a '56 on the bench right now and hope to finish in the next week or so.
  22. Great idea! For my oldest granddaughter's 17th birthday last year I surprised her with a replica of her red VW bug. She loved it!
  23. Can't wait to see more....
  24. Great job and most folks here love the theme!
