    62' Buick

Yes I shot the Future through my Paasche H.
  2. I lay the clear after the color(s). Works great for me.

I agree about the Future having that right amount of gloss for builds like this. Thanks for all the comments... appreciation to all of you

    62' Buick

Thanks, guys, for agreeing with me on my color choice. I like working with the craft acrylics and being able to mess with shades and color combos. And using them in combination with Future seems no-brainer easy, at least to me. The older I get, the no-brainer part gets more important

    62' Buick

Not the greatest build, but thought I'd share my satisfaction with the Camelot Rose I covered it with. I mixed up a brew of Folk Art Metallic Plum, Metallic Silver Sterling, and Metallic Pearl White and finished with a Future finish. Looking back, I'd have used a dab more white but overall I like it.
  6. I use Delta Ceramcoat Satin polyurethane sprayed through my airbrush. Easy to use and yields a nice semi gloss finish IMO. I know HL has it, not sure about Michael's. Works great with craft acrylics (which during the winter are my main weapons of choice due to no odor).
  7. Nice! Following for sure!
  8. Gotta love the big Poncho's
  9. Great job!
  10. Great build!
  11. That didn't get foiled in 30 minutes
  12. In your post you'd commented that the "paint shop" had already thinned your paint. I'm not exactly sure if that's what you meant, but if so that could be one of the problems. The paint looks pretty heavy. Also, the 17 psi might be low.
  13. Great job!
  14. Nice start!
  15. Speaking of the car being unsuccessful, I've always been blown away by the angle of exhaust discharge. I'm no engineer by any stretch, but I'd think the exhaust pointing almost straight down would make the car want to lift. Looks like something Jethro Bodine would come up with. Maybe I'm just off and missing the point.....
  16. Sweet! Great job!
  17. Great start!
  18. Sunlight really does make it pop!
  19. Great color choice.
  20. Beautiful big Ford. Thanks for sharing!
  21. Not sure this link hasn't been posted previously, but it's a good site for old factory ads, brochures, etc. The site is organized by make and year for the most part. Good stuff for stock builders out there. http://wildaboutcarsonline.com/cgi-bin/pub9990448202528.cgi?categoryid=9990448202528
