  1. Pierre, you are definitely the master of paint-brushing - awesome even before polishing ! Great that you choose the green livery of the Gösser beer/Denzel sponsored Schnitzer BMW (Wolfgang Denzel had been exclusive BMW importer in Austria for several decades).
  2. Exceptional work here, Rich - it would be a shame to hide all those delicate sub - assemblies under the body panels:
  3. Very well executed, Matt. A fine model of one of the most characteristic F1 cars ever.
  4. Excellent drawings/paintings you show us here, Alex - very nice !
  5. Thank you Tim, a quick dress-up of a die-cast is a welcome variety and a lot of fun, too.
  6. Fantastic looking 3D-printed engine here - I have the Fujimi Enthusiast series stratos with full engine detail, but this one is much more crisp and delicate: the carburettors, the spark plugs!!!
  7. You turned this difficult kit into a fine model, John. Heller kits often have ill-fitting parts - I have built a few of their race cars which always has been a fight.
  8. That looks already very good, Dave. I especially like the visible part of the engine with the intake trumpets (and of course the blue color it will get) - I really don't know how you manage to crank out one exceptional model after the other - that's amazing. I have 2 die-casts from Italy - one will be repainted in this special blue (thanks for the information on that one - I did not know more about its history)
  9. Nice transformation of the JB spy car, Pierre ! While the stripes and numbers are not to my taste, the model certainly is - the grille and wheels pimp it up a lot, and your interior is first class ! (You give me some inspiration for my glue-bomb Monogram DB4)
  10. Very nice, Anders - one of my favorite Alfas ever ! The new release does have the "autodelta triangles" on the decal sheet - unfortunately these are not on the first issue (have 3 of them)
  11. Your tasteful modifications raise the level of realism of this model, Tim! Very nice !
  12. Willy looks very determined here, Matt - I will keep in mind the epoxy-filling goggles method. The next superb racer on your bench is approaching the finish line!
  13. Fantastic to see another racing legend coming down the nostalgia raceway - great choice, Matt ! I will follow this one of course
  14. Well done, Pierre - like Mark said: looks like a kit part ! 3D-printers watch out: don't underestimate oldfashioned analog builders ! ?
  15. Good-looking trailer - fits perfectly behind those great old trucking classics !
  16. You did it again, Dave - great looking seldom seen Ford racer !
  17. Tim, this is as good as it gets (with that bad kit you had to start with) - I built this one in the late 80's (Union reissue) and it was the worst-fitting kit I can remember. Good choice to build it as the Sebring winner!
  18. Very nice - looks almost like the white 1960 Le Mans participant (# 20).
  19. Excellent build, David ! Who cares about the hinges (I broke mine on the '55 amt Nomad 40 years ago) ?
  20. 2 super nice models of some of the weirdest cars ever coming from Detroit !
  21. I lost or damaged all of my Matchbox/Lesney cars long ago. 30 years ago I could buy an almost mint Berlinetta Lusso with a nice box and about 15 years ago the Major Pack Hendrickson double freighter that was a gift from my father almost 60 years ago (good condition with a fair/tatty box): These are my only classic Matchbox models.
  22. Thank you all fellows for your nice comments - I will interrupt for a week now (will fly to Rome with my wife), as a gap filler a photo from the end of July for your amusement (talk about a crowded workplace) See you again soon (will be a looker in the next days with my mobile phone) !
  23. demonstration runs on a wet track with Hans Joachim Stuck at the controls - his father Hans Stuck won several hillclimbs with such a car in 1936-37. Though this is not the original, but a faithful recreation by Crossthwaite and Gardner (UK) from the original drawings/plans commissioned by Audi.
  24. This is the 1975 Rally Monte Carlo winning car of Sandro Munari (in 1977 it had # 1)
