  1. Very impressive replica of your racecar, Tom !
  2. Thank you Bob, David and Gareth !
  3. Alright Kurt - it is the Fujimi Enthusiast model kit (had a broken windshield frame and front suspension; morever, it was missing front bumpers, exhaust tips and mirrors) - a bit cleaning and polishing, an Italeri Daytona donated the missing parts and so it could be restored. Thank you Eric, race cars don't ever look glamourous (at least not after the start...) Thanks for your nice comments, Gary. Thank you, Bob - if only complete build-ups count, then it would be zero (at the time, I'm working on an Italeri 250 California spider - old build from 1988/89, just disassembled, will be reworked). Thank you Anders - I'm glad you like the die-casts too. Thanks, Carl ! Thank you, Rich - will be interesting to see how your Mangusta turns out. Thanks, Bernard - highly appreciated what you say - also for you best wishes for 2022 !
  4. Thanks Larry, Bruce and (again) Larry! Thank you for the detailed information, Richard ! According to the instructions of my Hasegawa kit (where I used the decals from), the TR250 (serial # 712/TR) was used with this livery (black with red nose) in 1959 at races in Pensacola, Riverside and the Bridgehampton National in May - at this race it wore # 124.
  5. Hi Peter, these designations seem to be very British: FHC stands for "Fixed head coupe" whereas DHC means "Drophead coupe" which is nothing else than a roadster/Convertible - I saw these in several books of mine of post WW English sportscars, mainly Jaguars (XK120, XK140, XK150, E-Type).
  6. Due to lack of new builds, here is one of my older ones: built in 1986 or 87, photos are from 2005 and 2008: out of the box, sprayed with auto lacquers from the can; lots of bare metal foil on this one (started wrinkling a bit after 20 years) whereas the window surroundings and interior/upholstery trim are brushed with Humbrol silver - I had not the nerves to apply more foil ! I should have wetsanded and polished this one back then (Paint shows orange peel)! Here's the class of '63:
  7. You managed to create a very nice model of this not-so-easy-kit, Joahnny. I remember a lot of fitting issues with the hood and front bumper.
  8. Very nice collection, Thomas - I like the '64 Comet Caliente best (aside the 956, of course) !
  9. Thanks, Gunnar - it is no build, but only a modified die-cast (I put it into the wrong thread)
  10. Super builds under those circumstances - I like especially the Buck Baker and Junior Johnson Chevy stockcars.
  11. Great variety of nice builds here, Tom - you prefer muscle cars and street rods, me thinks: my favorites here would be the `69 Chevelle and Camaro, the '32 Deuce Coupe and the black A (?) Roadster.
  12. Good idea, Kurt, to turn this one into a dust-covered barn find - I sold mine off 20 years ago (I had the initial ESCi version which was reissued by Italeri) because of its inaccuracies. Would be great if Hasegawa would backdate its Miura SV to an earlier version (would need a narrower body, though)
  13. Beaucoup des modèles formidables, Emmanuel !
  14. Excellent builds!
  15. Very nice builds and fabulous descriptions, Bill - the P4 with the P3 wheels looks almost like the 412 P (3rd placed NART car) from Daytona 1967 (Rodriguez/Guichet)
  16. So sorry to hear of your wife's passing, Ken - I had no idea about that. Best wishes to you for 2022 and keep on modeling.
  17. Your models are proof of this, Lee - expecially the "Bad Trip" Anglia, the "Agitator" VW Dragster and the 5window Ford rod - outstanding paint jobs !
  18. Beautiful maroon/dark red color on this awesome muscle car, Gerry !
  19. Very well done models, Bernard (though i'm not into rods and customs) - the one that impresses me most is the '50's Maserati - a 1/24 model kit of this would be great !
  20. Hi, Bob - you mean this one?
  21. Interesting variety, Bill - I already admired your JB DB5 in the die-cast section- did you use it's wheels for the Burago 275 GTB/4? Excellent other builds, especially the Ford vs Ferrari models - the P4 with P3 alloy wheels!
  22. Cool looking model, Doug - where did you get the wheels from ?
  23. Will be interesting to see what you will do with it.
  24. Super nice builds, Aaron - the Le Mans racers are exactly to my taste - great also the other ones! Show us more of your models!
