  1. Suddenly it's 1960 ! - Super model of the iconic '58 Plymouth - apart from the side trim that looks perfect now, the wide whitewalls also look much better than in the kit!
  2. Looks like the real deal on the loaders witch chips and cuts - and the blown truck tire with the steel wires hanging out .... Simply fantastic!
  3. Very nice, Mario - interesting to see a Nomad with blackwall tires.
  4. Wow - very nice ! So you grafted a 1/25 roof onto an 1/24 model ? Fits perfectly !
  5. Very nice, Michael - esopecially in this livery! These Group C sportsracers were the last really good looking ones (at least for my taste) - we would need the engine sound, too !
  6. Great looking model of this racing machine in classic BMW motorsports works colors, Rich - I suppose applying the decals was a demanding part of the work. These came in a variety of different sponsor liveries.
  7. x 2: Very rare model of a seldom seen truck (I had this one as a Matchbox toy 55 years ago).
  8. Very nice build, James - gives me an idea what to do with mine (I just disassembled my old glue-bomb) - will turn it also into a club racer or historic racecar.
  9. Very impressive model of this outrageous one-off Ghia-styled Ferrari, looks very American with its huge tailfins, exzessive chrome decoration/bumpers and wraparound windshield. I would be proud to have this one in my model collection.
  10. Nice model, Rich, of a Ferrari that is raced in a series of rich amateur racers (in the 50's you would have probably called them gentlemen racers).
  11. Again a few old builts in-between: 2 scanned photos from 1987: The 55 Bel air coupé was my very fist "real" car model, bought in 1982 immediately after the Peterbilt wrecker. The others followed shortly afterwards. Back then our hobbyshops had the Matchbox/amt kits only both as Nomads, the 55 as a coupe and the 57 as a hardtop. So I bought 2 each, cut the roof off the 55 and glued it onto the 57 and vice versa - voilà: 3 body versions ! Here are the 55's (the first pic is from 1983, coupé is brush-painted, the 2 others from 1985, spraypainted with auto-laquers). Now the `57's: Photos from 1985 - all spraypainted with auto-laquers (the convertible = my 2nd of the series - was brush-painted 2 times, and finally oversprayed in a dark metallic blue). No puttying, no polishing, no bare metal foil, trim brushed silver (Humbrol) - only a little parts-swapping (the blower on the Nomad is from mpc's 1/16 1963 Sting Ray). They are all gone now, I only kept the '55 Bel Air coupé for sentimental reasons (disassembled, paint removed) - this will be restored some time.
  12. x 2: excellent als always, Mario - and Danny DeVito as a grumpy driver of the yellow cab would be the icing on the cake :-)
  13. This fabulous tanker - gleaming in the sun - a real eye-catcher. Pete suits well !
  14. Nice build, Mario - are these the kit decals?
  15. Very nice model, Gary - I would really like to see all of your old racecars! A new 1/24 plastic model kit of an MGA, Triumph TR 4 or Austin Healey 100/4 (or 3000) would be great, too !
  16. Finally I received the still missing racecar of my favorite driver: Jim Clark's 1965 Lotus 33 + a few Tamiya paints.
  17. Beautiful model with nice colors, Pierre!
  18. Looks good in this color-combination.
  19. Nice build, Alex, with the stretched frame - I will either stretch mine too or I will leave off the sleeper (kit frame is too short for a sleeper)
  20. Great subject - nice model, Chris !
  21. Very interesting story, Gary - I've got no idea that Bill Mitchell got the inspiration for the Corvette SS and Sting Ray from an earlier trip to Italy!
  22. Thanks, Anton !
  23. Very nice, Tom - looks like the pride and joy of a 70's owner-operator.
