  1. Absolutely awesome rendition of the famous "Porsche Panzer" from 1973, Rich. If you had not pointed out your mistake with the yellow stripes, no one would have noticed. It really looks intimidating!
  2. Excellent model of this beautiful spyder, Giovanni ! You raised the bar very high with this one. I built the same car over 30 yrs. ago and used only the Fisher kit + a few missing decals - it didn't look bad but yours is just perfect with all these detailing.
  3. Hi Giovanni, I ordered these from: https://www.modelissimo.eu/ - but that was in 2016, and they had only a few pcs. left (back then)
  4. Hi, Gary - I have the very same Heller kit (albeit the dark blue Airfix race version)- it sais "Citroen" on the tree with the very narrow Michelin X tires (obviously the same as in their own Citroen 15 CV kit. Motobitz/UK has fantastic-looking 3-D-printed resin wheels for E-types (racing and street) that have also period-correct tires - the ones from the Revell kit are too low for the 60's.
  5. Nice build, Andy - now I know I have to get me both Revell Jags also (I have the Heller Coupe and Gunze's Roadster in my stash)
  6. x 2 ! Fantastic model, as usual, Mario (it is quite similar to primrose yellow, a light yellow E-Type color in the 60's)
  7. Very nice Jag, Rich - the light color is a good means to camouflage a little bit the front window issue.
  8. Very nice Dino 166 P, Gary - you have a lot of treasures at home - I didn't even know such model existed.
  9. Very nice truck-trailer combination!
  10. This one would qualify for the LM winners thread ! Is this a 1/12 conversion of Meng's Mk II kit?
  11. Great GTO collection, Gary - these were marvellous cars.
  12. Thanks, Pierre - I just put it on the roof of my car and took some pictures... As I said in the beginning of this topic: a very simple curbside kit without any engine or suspension detail, but with good proportions and excellent decals. Building is very easy, though. On the other side, there are some Hasegawa rally car kits that are delicately molded and are more challenging than their Tamiya counterparts.
  13. Thanks, Paul - I did not have any problems with the decals, but I built the kit when it was new. I don't know how the decals behave more than 30 years later (if you pick up an original issue). The only weakness is : the yellow stripes are not really opaque - you can see that on the right front fender between headlight bezel and wheel well: I goofed a little bit, and so the purple shines through - also I misplaced the horizontal stripe on the nose a little bit - is is not exactly centered - everything should have been put about 1 mm to the left side, then the longitudinal stripes on the nose section also would have been correctly positioned.
  14. Nice models, Gary - which wheels did you use ? (I have a Tamiya slot-car body/reissue and want to combine this also with a Minicraft 250 LM)
  15. x 2 ! Iwill also tackle a lightweight soetime in the future.
  16. You DID remember correctly, Mike - nice modei of "Big Bertha" by the way !
  17. Very good looking livery, Bruce - looks like Tamiya's 956 kit.
  18. C'est une voiture formidable, Anders - marvellous, as are all of your models! And nice photography with a fitting background, too. I have avoided this kit up to now (I have 2 nice 1/24 Hachette diecasts), but I've been tempted now - only kit issue as far as I can see: the front track looks a bit too wide.
  19. NIce collection Gary. of some seldom seen Porsches - besides the 1967 907 longtail (Heller kit?) what is this? It looks a bit like a 910.
  20. Cool models, Mike - fantastic the 1/87 (!) Audi racer - unbelievable; I tried a few 1/43 race car models 30 years ago, and gave up (too small!)
  21. Very nice build in a perfect color combo !
  22. Thanks to Scott for his reply - I've built several Italeri Ferraris and know their weak points: wheels/tires and lots of sink marks as well as omitments and simplifications in certain areas.
  23. x 2 - I second that - and of my favorite driver, too !
  24. Good looking rare Volvo - in 2011 I took a photo of an old, worn-out dump truck during my holidays on the Greek Island of Kos:
  25. Super nice, Rich - as we are used to see from you ! I will check some of the links as soon as I find more time.
