  1. Thanks, James, Brian, Larry, Chris and Tommy for your kind words.
  2. Thanks Anders and Trevor - old Italian sportscars have become my favourite modeling subjects.
  3. Very nice looking Cougar, Steve - the early ones look best (very seldom seen models.
  4. Looks very nice in that color scheme!
  5. Here is one of mine (built from the snow plow kit) in the late 80's - will get some re-work:
  6. Old survivor: My very first truck kit: the model that got my modeling hobby re-started in 1982 (after a 10-year hiatus): amt/Matchbox’ 1979 release of the 359 Peterbilt Wrecker (picture: internet) Certainly not the easiest model to begin with: guess-where- I-belong-instructions and a badly warped hood; I tried to straighten this out with hot water, but was not totally successful – so the hood surface is uneven and wavy, the left fender points a bit up, and there is a gap between hood and cab. A few other mistakes are simply my fault, but I withstood the temptation of correcting these errors – I only re-glued a few small parts that had become loose or fallen off. Apart from California license plates I installed yesterday (Michigan plates for a local California wrecker???) it looks exactly as it did 40 years ago (built out-of-the box) – with all its mistakes, imperfections and issues: masked with ordinary duct tape, brushed with Humbrol paints, glued with Revell glue from the tube, no putty, no sanding, no polishing – nothing. Today, I would have a totally different access in building this kit – I would paint complete units at once (and not part for part which makes things unnecessary complicated and therefore prone to errors) – anyway: here it is with and without its wrecker body – pics shot today afternoon: placed on the roof of my car (arched, therefore the rear wheels in some pics don't touch the ground)
  7. Very impressive Cobra - well done !
  8. Absolutely gorgeous truck, Brian - wonderful workhorse backdate! With its dark green and white paint it could also run for Garrett Freightlines....
  9. Thank you Gunnar, but there is nothing admirable at all.
  10. Not yet, I have a rallye version of the 2002 in my stash for a future build.
  11. Excellent build of my favourite BMW, Rich !
  12. Very nice build - the nicest yet (I built mine from the old Blueprinter issue). Back in 1967, the Batmobile and Monkeemobile were every boy's dream in the neigbourhood.
  13. You're welcome, Gary - you can't go wrong with some classic European sportscars.
  14. Very clean model !
  15. Excellent replica of this old workhorse, Mariol - especially the 2nd picture (my wife thought it was a real one) - I admired this already standing beside your Transtar II.
  16. Must have missed this one - excellent model as usual, Mario!
  17. Excellent rendition of this iconic muscle car, Mario - I see Kowalski behind the wheel and hear Super Soul on the radio (this has been my favourite car chasing movie ever since)
  18. Very nice build of this delivery van, Mario - looks definitely better than the box-art!
  19. Sorry, Bob - but this is NOT a TR 6, but a GT6 = the coupé version of the small Spitfire
  20. Looks good as a bone-stock delivery van, Mario - a bit suspicious at night at the backside of the warehouse - or is it only a parking lot?
  21. Thanks a lot, Russell, Rich, Gary, Mario and Noel for your nice comments - it is a rewarding experience to re-work some old builds: I've done this a few times and achieved always better results than before: you decide how far you want to go, and whereas even the paint job still has some issues (paint runners in 2 places) I' m pretty much content with the outcome (rebuilt it as a curbside because I did not want to disassemble and redo everything, and if I want, I can go the extra-mile with my still unbuilt kits). Maybe I will do similar jobs on my Monogram Aston Martin DB 4 gluebomb and my Revell Austin Healey (both already disassembled).
  22. Thanks Walter, Mike, Glen, Bill, Philippe, Chris and Larry for your compliments!
  23. Superb build, Harry ! Though my personal taste prefers the look of the classic supercars of the 60's and 70's, you created a perfect model - you can't tell it from a real one ! Fantastic photography, too!
