  1. Well, here is my first dilemma with this build. The Allison engine, if I kept it the original configuration with the single supercharger and carburetors will fit fine in the body I designed, but no, I can't leave the engine as it came, no, I need to complicate this. This engine is widely used in the unlimited hydroplane world, but those guys update the engine to produce more power, and that is what I want for this car. So first I removed the supercharger. Then I added direct fuel injection. Next I am adding twin turbo chargers with inter-coolers (if they will fit). Because of the massive fuel injection system, the engine is much higher at the back of it so it will not fit the body as it is now. It appears that I will have to seriously modify the engine cover to accommodate the added height of the engine intake system.
  2. clean, the correct color and very well done..... love the stance, looks like it is ready to pounce.
  3. You know, the carburetor is itself a beautiful item...... the carburetor(s) and the exhaust pipes by themselves would be great to offer, then the complete engine. Also, a reworked version for the 427 Cobra roadster would be great to have also. Tons of possibilities here.
  4. very nice and super clean.... I love this kit and car but the kit is not the easiest to build having done 3 of them, nice work.
  5. Very nice, the premise makes perfect sense. Like it a lot.
  6. Great looking streeter. Love the low stance. Very sharp with the twin turbos, it would be a killer on the streets until it hits a "speed bump" .... Och.
  7. Simply magnificent. Best looking Ford GT engine I have ever seen in this scale. Impressive to say the least. This is the future of our hobby, soon 3D will dominate and there will be an unlimited selection of cars, engines and specialty items. Wow.
  8. Pretty sharp, very well done. Love the flow of the front fenders to the rear. I did the same design feature to a '40 Ford convertible many years ago, I think it makes a world of difference to your car. Very nice.
  9. Very nice, interesting color combination, I really like the light green. Very well done.
  10. Very nice, I own an MGB and built a replica of my car many years ago..... you can't go wrong with building one in British Racing Green. Very sharp. P.S. Yes, be careful about the placement of the model in reference to the light source, whenever possible, have the light at your back.
  11. Now I am really confused. That is one strange, but very well done, confused beetle..... I guess it doesn't know if it is coming or going. Beyond different. Very, very cool and unique.
  12. Pretty cool, crazy little "pinpoint" headlights are very different. Nice color, rather subdued but fits it well. Sharp.
  13. Yes, you are correct to criticize parts of this kit, I also looked forward to it and was disappointed when I opened the box, but you did it justice. I know it is boring, but the white with blue stripes is the "quintessential" color combo for this car. You did a very nice job on her.
  14. Very nice, smooth and clean and I love that color on this car. lately I see that Porsche has some different "solid" colors on their cars out in front of the dealership.... very cool.
  15. Question, and not a big deal..... I went back to look at this build again and noticed, and maybe I am wrong, but are those Firestone tires on the car with a Goodyear sponsor logo on the car. No biggy, just wondering.
  16. Looks great. I have done three of these (two coupes and a roadster) and every time I see them the beauty of their design blows me away........... just an absolutely beautiful automobile and oh so Italian.
  17. You did a very credible job on one of the ugliest (sorry, no reflection on your modeling skill) big land yachts ever conceived. Certainly from the "dark ages" of Chrysler engineering and design. Wow, they needed Lee Iacocca desperately at this point. How the mighty had fallen.
  18. Absolutely insane builds. Who would think to build so many rare and unique engines???...... very impressive.... love them all.
  19. Very nice.... simply presented, well done and clean.
  20. Very nice job.... these Fisher kits are beautifully engineered. Nice !
  21. Well done, looks great.
  22. Looks great, the weathering is a perfect touch to add realism. Nice!
  23. Well, you saved it. Great job under the circumstances.
  24. Great start, looks like it will be a winner.
  25. The black paint is a real "shame" that it didn't work as planned...... oh well, you know the old saying, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade". You are doing what you can with it.
