  1. “Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.” — The Dude
  2. Beautiful wagon Dale
  3. Elyashiv, I just used a circle template then cut them out with scissors and finished with files and sandpaper. Thanks everyone--It looks like progress is going to be slow this summer because well it's summer I have been working on the exhaust pipes but I still am not sure the best way to hang them out there with a minimal look but optimum strength. The pipes are 3/8" tapered to 1/4" and 2" long. I used 3/8", 5/16", and 1/4" tube as the main components.
  4. Lucky some arms didn't get crushed.
  5. I love the detail you put into your subjects. Thanks for sharing.
  6. For me it's not chores but the other distractions. Wine, women, and song---and family and motorcycles and camping and fishing and barbecues and and and and. Winter is definitely more conducive to modeling.
  7. It has a very nice look, well done Tom.
  8. Thanks guys. Joe, I just haven't got the creative juices going again since Memorial weekend-hopefully soon. I did add detail to the inner wheel on the duallys. It's another one of the details I've known I wanted to add after studying the film and pictures. Yes Andy, through being the key word. It's the gateway to the gateway (Cambridge) of Hells Canyon. I have enjoyed hunting and fishing in the area. Weiser is quite famous for a fiddle festival though. Thanks for looking . Steve
  9. I like it and will be watching. I still want to do one with cab clearance lights but have yet to see or hear of an option, but it would be cool, especially on the dually.
  10. I love it. It reminds me of something I owned but it was also the biggest money pit pile of junk I ever owned. One of the problems was the steering column broke and the steering wheel fell in my lap while driving down the road. But I did like it.
  11. That's cool. You don't see many built as the Fall Guy.
  12. My thoughts have pretty much been said by the previous posts. If it's interesting ,relative, or informative to the post, I think we all benefit from someone else's views. Just no hijacking.
  13. Thanks everyone, I am appreciative and humbled by the following of my little project. So I worked forward to get the overall spacing of components and stance of the Gigahorse. I am now working backwards to fill in the missed or needed structure detail. I have the dummy tanks done and the rear skirt detail. They are both removable/paintable structures at this point. I liked all these pictures so I will share. Thanks for looking. Steve
  14. I really like this. Well done.
  15. I'm no expert but that is the mildest sounding 5000 HP I have ever heard. Until it runs at speed, I'm not believing.
  16. Thanks guys. I have the upper tanks done and mounted using pins and rods. They are forward and offset to the lower tanks but are still removable for more fabrication and painting. So I have many fuel and air tanks from semi models but none are 3/4" round which I feel is accurate for this scale. I had to resort to pvc sprinkler pipe that was 7/8" and grind and sand it to 3/4" and epoxy styrene to the ends. I wish I took in progress of the tank mounts but they are .06" sheet styrene shaped and sandwiched between .02" sheet and strip. These tanks are still in progress and need more work but this is where I'm at. Thanks for looking. Steve
  17. Nice job-I would agree the lack of detail is disappointing. I wonder if the 2015 chassis could be made to work. Such a shame Revell.
  18. Thanks everyone for the kind comments. If I wasn't building this I would be intently watching myself. I have an update on the air tanks and main body skirt. I used 3/8" tube with styrene added on the ends to make the rounded shape. A simple structure with wire holding the tank, drilled and pinned to the frame. I am still trying to figure out the upper tank mounts. The fitment with the body. Thanks for looking. Steve
  19. Thanks Bob, I really like seeing scratch built projects in their raw form. It's easier to see and appreciate all the work that goes into them.
  20. That looks like a fun build-well done. Any in progress pics?
  21. That's a pretty cool theme. Well done on the design.
  22. So I wanted all this structure to be sturdy but minimalist as to not distract from everything else. The 1:1 seems to be built this way because I cannot see any of it in pictures that are available. The long pins holding the intercoolers will eventually tie into and hold up the center turbos This was pretty tedious but again I'm pleased with the outcome. Thanks for looking. Steve
  23. Due to photobuckets extortion this post is condensed with the next.
