Thank you Carl for the encouraging comments! I might lay down some color on the Vette today if time permits.

Jay I purchased the wheels from Arrowhead awhile back and it took forever to get them but well worth it. The rear axle came with the kit but I modified it for the rear disc conversion so it it would look correct. The axle tubes I made also so it would look more to scale and the rear caliper brackets where scratch built also.

Happy New Year To All !!!!!!!!!
-
Born and raised in Missouri for my first thirty years of life then met my soon to be wife got married and moved to sunny Southern California. I do miss the snow though because it doesn't seem the same at Christmas when its 70 to 80 degrees here. But the up side is that I can ride the Harley all year round and be able to paint my builds also.

Was doing another mock up of the undercarriage with the wheels on and noticed that there is no fuel cell so I just finished scratch building the fuel cell.I can't believe that I did not notice this before especially how many times I've looked at the bottom of the undercarriage. Thank you all for following and the encouragement to keep building !

Thank you Bob ! I finally have realized and learned that I need to take my time while building these neat little cars and I have learned a lot from watching how others build there cars here which I really appreciate. Oh yeah I'm kinda of a neat freak when comes to my man cave !

Teaser for my next build !

Only had to work half day today so I was able to shoot the color on the Bee . Next will be the decals and then after the paint dry's a few coats of clear to finish off the painting.
-
Little more progress this evening. Was able to shoot the body with some silver and hopefully the final color in a day or so then decals and a few coats of clear. Carl Thank You !

Was not happy with the backing plates/caliper brackets so I scratch built another set & painted them and they work great ! Also touched up the paint on the calipers so now I'm just waiting on the paint to dry then I will see where to run the lines.
-
I have scratch built the front caliper backing plates /brackets & now will paint them & also redrilled the calipers and will have to touch them up also .
-
Just realized that I also need to make caliper brackets for the front calipers & fittings for the brake lines and redrill the calipers for the hard lines. This will be a easy fix but will set me back a bit also.

I hope everyone had a great day building today! I have made some progress today.I have mounted the front spindles so next will be running the brake lines then the calipers. Was also able to lay down the first coat of paint but after paint was somewhat dry I noticed that there are a few places on the body that needed attention before I lay down the red. I also finished up the dash & painted the transmission & cleared it. Thank you all for following me on this build !

The GTO looks awesome ! Nice execution on this build ! -
Some progress today on the front spindle assembly which has come together but before gluing I need to figure out where I will run the front brake lines. I should also be able to reshoot the paint sometime today.
-
Just finished shooting paint on the front spindles and brush painted the front calipers .
-
Thank You for the encouragement John ! Not sure on the color yet on the ZR1 but was leaning towards Bright Red Tamiya paint & ordered carbon fiber decal sheet for the roof.
-
Here is a pic of the under carriage but keep in mind I still have to run the brake lines. Also have laid the paint on the front brake calipers & have the front spindles in primer & have the front end ready to go together except for the brake lines. The body is in primer & have cleaned up the blemishes so hopefully I will get to shoot on the color on this weekend. I also have been cleaning up the body lines on my next build while waiting on the paints to dry on the Bee.

My Local HS has the Foose Camaro & its priced at $69.99

Saw the kit today at my local HS and I thinking that it would make a cool 4X4.
-
Was able to primer the body etc. and also was able to get the under carriage & frame painted. Starting to get parts ready for front end assembly but will have to scratch build hub assembly's for front discs.
-
Thank you all for the comments ! I have the body striped now and have given it a light sanding so Im just waiting for the body to dry so I can shoot some primer then see if it needs any filler & also going to shoot the under carriage & frame this evening.
