  1. If that tooling still exists, somebody better give me a ahead warning so I can sell of my originals ;^)
  2. Thanks for the photo's Bill. Just love those mid 60s cars with stacked headlamps.
  3. A built test shot was shown at the Toledo NNL last October.
  4. Photo's courtesy of DPMV http://www.plastik-modellbau.org/blog/die-neuheiten-von-revell-im-ersten-quartal-2016/2015/
  5. I'm in for the Nickey Camaro, have to see the product details from some of the other announcements before making a decision to buy or not.
  6. wonder if they found the hardtop insert of the '70 Bonnie.
  7. a '17 Ford GT snapper. They're build in the UK, right?
  8. Too bad no one did the preceding model, the Chrysler '87-'95 LeBaron convert and coup. at the time it put Chrysler back on the map as a automotive manufacturer in Europe, heck if GM wasn't my employer back then, I would've bought one. But it's an old car now.....
  9. Hey Tim, It seems we missed each other at Toledo yesterday A few corrections, Dean was employed by Revell-Monogram from '93 until '05. Also the Cutlass you see here, will never go into production, because it never was up to model kit standards to begin with, IIRC it was supposed to be an entry level diecast kit. Dean has done some major surgery to make that one stock. So the "rumored' all new kit will be from ALL NEW tooling
  10. Art, it's an '87, Dean is standing right next to me ;^)
  11. Dunno, but the 31st of October there's a model car show in Bergen-Enkheim in Germany.
  12. Hmm, how can one assume the correct position (height wise) on the door then? That way it's either too high or too low, maybe for the targeted audience, they better rush and do a pre-paint next BTW taking about pre-paint, just today I bought the '14 Mustang GT pre-paint in a Revell Germany wrapper, as a slump buster and the striping does look good, so it's possible. too bad though; the production facility doesn't clean up the parting lines, with a rotary sanding tool. Ps did the Amt/ertl pre-painted bodies also suffer from parting lines, as I never had one I don't know. Thanks
  13. Think, first do the roof part, then the sides
  14. A yenko '67 Camaro would be nice, then Revell has 3 Yenko Chevy's. On the new announcements, think Revell will do another muscle car, hopefully a 2nd gen GTO, Round-2 hopefully finds the '68 Galaxie tool and Moebius, maybe a 50s Buick? BTW have the 4th quarter new releases been announced yet?
  15. Hi all, Is there a list of vendors who will attend the Toledo NNL, October 10? Thanks Luc
  16. Hope Revell Germany adds this one to it's 2016 lineup.
  17. The design of the chassis and where it connects to the rear bumper, makes a '72 doubtful IMHO and will jack up the prices of the Jo-han kit some more....
  18. I think Revell's model A is a pretty good example of a kit, designed by enthusiasts for the enthusiasts.
  19. Think you need to rephrase that statement to, people who normally don't build models or haven't built for some lime now. People maybe, who by seeing this iconic TV car, can be lured into picking up this kit and because Revell lowered the threshold, can even build a nice shelf model with moderate skills, And who knows, maybe they will like the experience and will build again....just hope Revell also put a leaflet inside the box promoting their 'entry level) kits and some background info on the company and what modeling is all about.... Sure I've would've liked a more detailed kit, but understand their rationale, so two tumbs up from me.
  20. Oh boy, the wait is finally over, gimme gimme gimme ;^)
  21. October 7-12, and will be visiting the Toledo show.
  22. Doh! Was meaning to order, but as always postponing, I''l do it next week...then the week thereafter... Oh well, it saves me a few bucks ;^)
  23. Thanks for the info guys!
