  1. Per info given by Round-2 to Tom Carter, the '61 Impala is the Lindberg hardtop tool.
  2. The German aftermarket company, Scale Production, is coming with an update set for this kit, it will include an resin engine and hood.
  3. Wonder how long it will take, until Revell surprises us with a new Hatch series, based on the newly designed coup kit.
  4. They still do exist, in a Rolls Royce (Roller for the Britons here) and also in the current Opel Meriva http://www.autoweek.nl/images/800/6/a5c289ea5b09c42e50ec0a79805799f6.jpg
  5. Not the only thing that didn't happen at Satco, if memory serves me right they also announced a '66 Chevy Impala hardtop somewhere in the late 90s. Wonder what happened to the company and it's (non Aoshima) tire tooling.
  6. Thanks all for the info, truly appreciated! Luc
  7. Darn! Realy hoped them leading other European manufacturers into more kits, of everyday vehicles from the 50s, 60s and 70s..... Oh well....
  8. Looks good Dave! Just love them cars with stacked headlamps.
  9. Are the cars then sort of (CKD) kit cars, or cobbled together by the racing teams, to their own or national (US, CAN, AUS safety) specs, with parts from different original equipment manufacturers (OEM)? And also thanks guys for your responses so far...
  10. Saw it on FB a couple of days ago, beautiful box art and on pre-order. ;^)
  11. Got this Revell Steve Kinser Bass Pro Shops sprint car, as part of a deal and was wondering if it is a re-pop of an old Monogram tool, or is it upgraded? Also do they still use these on the track today?, if yes are they similar to this kit, or did they through the years got updated/upgraded and with what? Please fill me in cuz I wanna know Thanks!
  12. Ex US army, Tom. In the '90s they sold a ton of obsolete vehicles, as part of the withdraw of much of the American forces from Germany, due to the fall of the iron curtain. Come to think of it, they used to have a base, more of a depot realy, just 5 miles from our (then) house in Grobbendonk, Belgium, which they sold the the Belgian Army and is still in use. One of the reasons these trucks deserves all new tooling in both 1/25 as 1/35th scale...since they were used everywhere....so would be a good project for a company like Revell USA-Germany.
  13. Saw this lot last Wednesday, when I was on route on business...
  14. I'm glad I stocked up when they were available, I even remember buying kits from Jo-Han models direct; somewhere in the early '90s, Think I still have the invoice somewhere...
  15. Brett, any ETA on this? Thx Luc
  16. Was reading a topic on Ferrari kits on a German hobby site and it looks like Revell Germany pulled all their Ferrari kits from their lineup. Wettringer Modellbau Forum Just went to their site and indeed, no more Ferrari products in the modern cars section, but there's a non working Ferrari button, together with other special licensed brands... Revell Germany model kit product overview Hmm....
  17. I have a resin one, bought at the time the Model King combo was out, don't remember who the Mfg was tho.
  18. 105 parts probably means a engine... One can't realy go by what you see on the photo's here, which is a mock up, not generated from tooling.
  19. Technically it isn't round2 to who does the show, but Hobby Craft International who represents several US companies and displays their current product range and also does the announcements when they receive that info and are authorized to do so... International Hobbycraft
  20. It comes right on time, cuz my original looks kinda ratty ;^)
  21. Yes sir! Letting Tamiya and Revell Germany tooling up classic British heritage, shame on you LOL. IMHO they should start with a Lotus Cortina MK1, then a Capri MK1....
  22. Was wondering the same.. Or someone did some copy and paste with stock numbers and URL's and found that the files were online already..
  23. Airfix should drop 1/32nd scale, for automotive kits and embrace 1/24th scale for non American subjects. Or do they fear the competition ;^) 'nuff said!
  24. Ah....childhood memories.... Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez
