No problem Scott, I did saw it, but thought it was a typo, like Billy Joel sang "we're only human..."

Round 2 January 2017 Product Spotlight
Luc Janssens replied to MrObsessive's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I doubt anything will be changed tooling wise, and that it also will be molded in red. The only differences will be, Italian or Portuguese decals, instruction sheet and cardboard wrapper. -
Maybe we can convince Moebius

Round 2 January 2017 Product Spotlight

There's peace right here, sometimes we see frustration, debate, harsh wording, but it's because we love this hobby, and love brings out the best in us, but sometimes the bad too. Nothing wrong we're all passioned guys here discussing what unites us, everyone might not agree on certain topics, but what's wrong with that, nothing....and it would be a boring board and world if we would all think alike. -

Under Ertl ownership Amt had a similar range of pre-paints, but think they were a Wall mart exclusive. -
Bought the Protar kit when it came out, and built it too, it was BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH, it didn't even last on the shelf, cuz threw it in the garbage can when one of the tires spliced. At that point in time the big ship Revell Germany was running without a navigator, cuz their car kits were terrible, $10 diecast looked better then their models, even when built with lot's of patience and TLC and unlike O.J.'s that protar kit at the time, fitted their product line, like a glove. I'm glad they re-invented themselves when they released the Ferrari 612 scaglietti (blue car on the box-art per Ferrari's request)

Round 2 January 2017 Product Spotlight
Luc Janssens replied to MrObsessive's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Do you see large numbers of fairly new Round-2 products ending up in sales bins, and dealers holding back stocking new releases? If so, and their current business plan doesn't generate enough profit, they will have to change course, as return on investment dictates "le raison d'être" of their, and any other business for that matter. But will it be more kits of vintage automotive subjects, not necessarily, it could very well be kitty dolls. -

That's the one I meant, thought one would refer to current, as last one too, and the gen before that as previous....hmm English is an odd language -

Neat, but most likely the retool will cost more, then the profit it will generate.... -

It's a good thing they don't flood the market with product (I think) I need, saves me some cash, so I can feed the family Round2 kits bought last year: - Plymouth Volare - Pinto Pony Express -
Looks Matt, is right...the subject he mentions is on a list, I just found on the IPMS Germany page.. Aston Martin DB 5 1/24 (James Bond Lizenz) 2 reasons maybe, for not being in the newsletter, one being licensing woes, or secundo, they want to save this announcement for the Nuremberg trade show...time will tell.....

The Panamera is all about bling bling, so guess RoG chose that, on the same merit as Revell-Monogram did with the Escalade and Hummer H2 kits a decade or so ago, Hopefully they will include some neat wheel options..... The Porsche tractor, I know nothing about, and hope some of our German friend here can shed some light, on why this is being kitted. BTW.. Wish everyone here a fantastic 2017!!

Kinda odd that they don't group the parts from each version on a separate tree, they either can block off, or if a cluster of smaller tooling is used, can be a separate tooling. But I'm sounding like a broken record Anyway hope to have my copy next week... -
Terrible Kits You Love!
Luc Janssens replied to Chuck Most's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Mpc '67 GTO also falls under that moniker, and the guys at Round2 knew it all too well, when they re-released it. As an annual it was a crisp representation, but it aged rather poorly due to some funny decisions, which probably made a lot of sense at the time.. Anyway, despite it's short comings, I always liked the styling upgrade over the previous model year, which Revell tooled up somewhere in the late 90s. -

That shop and a automotive book store, were definite stops whenever I was in the area.
