  1. Under Ertl ownership Amt had a similar range of pre-paints, but think they were a Wall mart exclusive.
  2. Bought the Protar kit when it came out, and built it too, it was BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH, it didn't even last on the shelf, cuz threw it in the garbage can when one of the tires spliced. At that point in time the big ship Revell Germany was running without a navigator, cuz their car kits were terrible, $10 diecast looked better then their models, even when built with lot's of patience and TLC and unlike O.J.'s that protar kit at the time, fitted their product line, like a glove. I'm glad they re-invented themselves when they released the Ferrari 612 scaglietti (blue car on the box-art per Ferrari's request)
  3. Who knows what Nuremberg might bring, cuz you have trendsetters and followers...
  4. Do you see large numbers of fairly new Round-2 products ending up in sales bins, and dealers holding back stocking new releases? If so, and their current business plan doesn't generate enough profit, they will have to change course, as return on investment dictates "le raison d'être" of their, and any other business for that matter. But will it be more kits of vintage automotive subjects, not necessarily, it could very well be kitty dolls.
  5. That's the one I meant, thought one would refer to current, as last one too, and the gen before that as previous....hmm English is an odd language
  6. They're doing the last gen Camaro...
  7. "Zumindest ein paar Highlights bei den Formneuheiten möchte ich erwähnen" which roughly translates to: "pointing out a few NEW TOOL highlights"
  8. Neat, but most likely the retool will cost more, then the profit it will generate....
  9. It's a good thing they don't flood the market with product (I think) I need, saves me some cash, so I can feed the family Round2 kits bought last year: - Plymouth Volare - Pinto Pony Express
  10. Looks Matt, is right...the subject he mentions is on a list, I just found on the IPMS Germany page.. Aston Martin DB 5 1/24 (James Bond Lizenz) 2 reasons maybe, for not being in the newsletter, one being licensing woes, or secundo, they want to save this announcement for the Nuremberg trade show...time will tell.....
  11. The Panamera is all about bling bling, so guess RoG chose that, on the same merit as Revell-Monogram did with the Escalade and Hummer H2 kits a decade or so ago, Hopefully they will include some neat wheel options..... The Porsche tractor, I know nothing about, and hope some of our German friend here can shed some light, on why this is being kitted. BTW.. Wish everyone here a fantastic 2017!!
  12. Looking at the box, the decals are probably ruined....from moist.
  13. In the old fashioned way, one slip with the knife when doing BMF and your paint job is ruined...
  14. Kinda odd that they don't group the parts from each version on a separate tree, they either can block off, or if a cluster of smaller tooling is used, can be a separate tooling. But I'm sounding like a broken record Anyway hope to have my copy next week...
  15. The Mpc '67 GTO also falls under that moniker, and the guys at Round2 knew it all too well, when they re-released it. As an annual it was a crisp representation, but it aged rather poorly due to some funny decisions, which probably made a lot of sense at the time.. Anyway, despite it's short comings, I always liked the styling upgrade over the previous model year, which Revell tooled up somewhere in the late 90s.
  16. That shop and a automotive book store, were definite stops whenever I was in the area.
  17. The font clip is different, IMHO the worst looking snout of the Pinto generation.
  18. Can't one glue a fine strip of polystyrene where the crease should be and then wet (paper wrapped around a rubbery block) sand it the full length, to blend it in? Just thinking out loud...
  19. Great work Jürgen!, brings me back to the 80s Happy holidays!! Luc
  20. Back in the day when Ertl was tooling up the all new Amt 2nd gen. Camaro model kit, they should've considered doing the Poncho twin, and the changes both models went thru, during the decade they were produced. I'm sure the engineers tried to, but that marketing told them "every man his trade"
