  1. Pretty sure they will be, cuz I don't see them tooling up, two new side cavities just for that, not to mention possible work on the core, to avoid sink marks in those covers, so I'm confident that they will be add on items.
  2. GREAT news, Thanks for sharing James! My grandfather on my mother-side had one, my father drove it once when he and my mom took a little vacation to the seashore (a two hour drive at the time), and he said it was one fast car. Also think Larry Greenberg is about to go nuts when he finds out about this one...;)
  3. Cool, can't wait, thanks for the heads up Mike!
  4. Why invest a ton of money in a vintage tool, when having a newly tooled wire axle snapper in the inventory. Then there's also the competitor from Elk Grove Village, with the late '90s designed full detail kit.... IMHO they should scrap this tired tool, together with those of the '67, 70 & 71-72 GOAT, and invest that in much more viable projects....
  5. Interesting news, had the flip front tow truck as a kid, but never liked that flipping feature.
  6. For years I only knew him as a moderator on this board, it was later that I learned of his talents. I'm gonna mis 'm here.... My sincere condolences to his loved ones and friends. Sad day indeed
  7. Talking about AMC's I'd like this one.... But, if they do (very unlikely) they need to add a disclaimer on the box; "potential lethal for little girls, if consuming ice cream"
  8. For a company like Moebius it wouldn't work indeed, only for a manufacturer who caters the whole spectrum of the model kit market, cuz once the model is in the 3D files, they can adapt it for the various scales and needs, that come with it.
  9. It sure is a beauty Matt! Still kick myself for not picking up the version with the snow flake wheels, like these a lot.
  10. My motto is form follows function, which means if a extra part adds value to the model, be it in better detail, ease of assembly for instance for painting, then I'm all for it. But parts just to show off what a manufacturer is capable of, no thanks, cuz then we end up with almost unbuildable kits like the Mirror Models Diamond-T wrecker kit....
  11. Odd that they needed to restore those fueltanks and spoke wheels, cuz were't they also in the 90's release?(red truck on the box-art cover, with a white one on the side panels)
  12. A very good friend who isn't (yet) a member to this fine board mailed my the following...Shelby Trans Am
  13. Just when I was thinking a retailer/wholesaler should comment on this...
  14. Approval by the OEM and licensing cost of the product itself. and then you can sell bagged shots, cuz designing decals and box will add costs, not only in the design, but again needs approval and licensing from all the sponsors mentioned.. just sayin'
  15. A short mid term post from the instigator of this tread.. Thanks all who commented, already learned a lot and please keep it going! Luc
  16. One of the worst kits, with faaaaaaaaaaar too sunken glass, is the Revell Germany VW Corrado kit(s) I tried to improve it somewhat making the windshield a flush fit, but lost interest and gave it away to someone who loved to have one....now he has to deal with my hopefully not too crappy work.
  17. James, I did a lousy job of making my point, which is or should've been, that this "model" seems to do well (not breaking it down in Pro-street or stock version) not questioning it's return, no matter which version.
  18. The thing I get from this promo clip, is that Mopar B-bodies seem to sell well, cuz this kit has been around the block a few times now. Is it the Coke bottle lines (which mimic the female curves)?
  19. I only used the 1mm pen so far, and "chromed" some molded-in the body headlamp buckets with it, and absolutely love it. For the interior details I would like to see a 0,5mm version, and maybe with enough demand and support from the trade, it can happen. So Brett, you know what to do
  20. Paul, if possible aks him for photo's and if you may show them here. TIA
  21. My 6th grade teacher drove one, I hated his guts!
  22. Interesting topic.. Wel on modern automobiles where the black fret hides the glue, I'd say mount from the outside, just as per OEM. the location of the weather strip (on the clear or on body) hmmm, dunno which one would be better/easier to paint/mask On vintage (pre mid '80s) I prefer from the inside, the thickness of the pillars can be hidden somewhat, when one designs the clear with a precise fit (taken into account paint thickness) to the surround (windshield or backlite opening) but with a small almost "flash like" flange, (I think with current CAD technology a lot is possible) as a positive locator, glue surface on the inside.
