Also Steve, a scan of a pre-CAD designed full size car, would only give the data of the "skin" then the real model kit design starts. The fun thing, IMHO is that, when taking a whole generation of let's say the Jo-Han 1968-70 GTX/Roadrunner kits and scanning them while making improvements in certain areas, that one can put all the possible different versions in a cluster of smaller tools which in a certain combination can eject version a, b, c, etc... which spreads the investment cost, while in the old days of annuals the prior year model was passe, thus erased, cus only the new model mattered and was paid for by the OEM.

Remember those, was very exited when seeing them advertised in some German hobby magazine, so bought a copy of the NYPD version when visiting the famous Danhausen hobby store Aachen, then opening the box.....I felt well....like conned. if the tool allows it IMHO Round-2 could do well ejecting Plymouth versions of their Monaco tool....but said that I'm good cus have a conversion kit from a Portuguese company to turn a goon kit to a NYPD cruiser.

Yeah, wouldn't want a new copy of that either, but the fun thing about this cloning is, that every part can be upgraded first, before scanning! Heck one can even take one of Juha Airio's creations and turn it into a model kit and yes I'm well aware that parts will have to be adapted for the injection-molding process. Fun times to be on the receiving end, and I'm sure the KAT's at Round-2 are having a ball, just brainstorming possible future subject matter and reading our comments.

Yes! A few months ago, I ordered and got several different sets, to put in older pre-Round2 issued kits.

An all new series of kits spanning the whole fox gen ,i cluding Saleen's would be neat.

Do hope the Shelby gets better footwear, like the tires last used on the last release of the '88 Dodge Daytona. Also think the XS wheelsets, could work magic, but anyone in the know where the tooling of those went? Cheers

Interesting to learn about the stock body of the Mustang, now could there be a stock kit in the future accompanied by a cloned '69? About the Shelby, like Steve will be ordering the decals from Round-2 for my original issue kit. The great news keeps continuing, I like it a lot

It all boils down to return on investment.

In the old days that could've been problematic, but.... the true value is in the 3D file, the tool a vehicle, the location of production, unit cost per run. No more no less,
