  1. Hi all, Since I consider this forum as one large think tank, and that some guys here have connections with model and aftermarket companies, I'm throwing the following into the group. Raised details and badge decals, similar to what Archer's does with rivets or welding beads.... http://www.archertransfers.com/AR88059.html Possible or not, cost? Thanks Luc
  2. Personally, I would like them to try-out some modified reissues of '90s-2000s tooling, like a '67 Fairlane Fairlane 500 XL 427 R code (like the one in the former Otis Chandler collection) from their '66 tool (in the same time fixing the backlite and windshield issues), or a '67 Mustang coupe from the fastback tooling, with drag options.....anyway plenty more idea's where those came from...
  3. Geoff, Do or did you hear something from Heller? Don't see the company listed as an exhibitor, nor does their site or FB page showcase all new items.
  4. The return of....(see top left)

  7. Is this the final box-art?
  8. Let the image...do the talking
  9. It looks like the Accurate Miniatures 'Vettes ended up with Academy...(photo courtesy of IPMS Germany)
  10. Here's an online build of it.... https://www.die-leitplanke.de/herzlich-willkommen/modelle-im-bau-1/volvo-fh4-globetrotter-xl-italeri-m-1-24/
  11. Indeed, remember they assembled Ramblers in the former Renault plant in Vilvoorde, Brussels Belgium. The former GM continental plant in Antwerp Belgium, besides Opel, assembled Vauxhall, Ranger, Bedford, Chevy, Pontiac's (the latter one Canadian CKD's IIRC), complete cars which Detroit shipped to Europe were sometimes completely overhauled at the plant before they went to the dealer. Also before Volkswagen bought the Dieteren assy plant in Vorst, Brussels Belgium, Dieteren built VW's there under license....now the factory is under Audi they make the A1, and retooling to produce an electric car. Ford had two plants here in Antwerp and Genk, but both are gone, the only car manufacturers left in Belgium are Volvo in Ghent and Audi in Brussels, for trucks there's DAF in Oevel and Volvo in Ghent.
  12. Saw this posted on the other board by David Dale, it's not a car but shows what's possible in today's model kit industry,, also I'm showing you all a link to a build of Italeri's new Volvo truck also a design masterpiece....
  13. Maybe suggest Revell Germany having in part, or complete US product line available through their website. @Randy B.Kudos on the built looks great!
  14. I Round-2 finds the inserts for this car, they IMHO should redo it as a '72 with the elastomere bumper option Like this one
  15. I like the patina
  16. Rob, you could be on to something....same core, same top cavity....I'm crossing my fingers that a '69 is in the works.
  17. The '69 Dart tool was altered because it tanked, so they modified it, in the hope, it would generate a profit,...
  18. Buy it from this guy... http://www.toyman.nl/Coming soon.html
  19. Odd they didn't plate the tree with amongst other parts the headlamp backings.
  20. I wonder what all is needed to set up a chroming service, and what sort of plating would be the best choice, vacuum or the more durable one? European modelers, please step in if I'm wrong, but I don't think we have that kind of service in Europe, right?!
  21. Makes sense, cuz for years a seller on ebay is unloading all sort of Jo-Han artifacts, items like old stock decals, left-over production parts, box-art paintings, and ditto models, I think even wooden bucks, but my mind could be playing tricks on me. Another question is, if Okey has the rights for the use of the Jo-Han name and trade dress, also does the latter include the copyright on past model kit designs too?
  22. Yes, but there's a difference about a car/truck one buys out of necessity versus one you would like to have but can't. Not saying this can't be a hit, far from but IIRC Cavaliers, K-Car Chargers, Escorts at one point in time were also pretty good sellers in the real world. Just saying the (automotive kits) hobby is fed by emotion, just as in the 1/1 world, but pesky things like fuel mileage, budget, and practicality are also a big factor there.
  23. and a big pop-up saying the same, when one clicks the buy button of one's favorite online store
