  1. Look absolutely great!
  2. i've built both the stock version (blue RR box-art) and the Camel Trophy one when they were new....was in my mid-teens back then and don't remember any problems building it, except one annoying design choice for the Esci engineers, which were/are the thick taillights, which made painting from the inside useless and made them prone to sink marks too. At my folks home I still have a Camel Trophy Verlinden did, dunno if it got publicized in one of his books, though., will take a pic when there in a week or so.
  3. Interesting didn't know that but still, the Firefighter truck is the best way to start to build the power wagon,. it has the right cowl, hood, and grille.
  4. '68 Olds 442 ''69-70 Cadillac DeVille '69 Chevy Impala '72 Chevy Impala '72 Plymouth Roadrunner all come up on ebay from time to time, but can't bring myself paying top dollar for them, and it's not like I don't have model kits I can tinker with in the mean time....
  5. Modelhaus had such a bed, as well as another resin caster, but forgot the name, he is/was on ebay though. Decals are/were also available,... BTW FYI the Mpc kit to look out for is not the Lil' red truck but the Dodge Firefighter truck, the difference is not only the grille and hood but also the header panel (which is part of the cab) and....it has the 4x4 set-up.
  6. Works for me!
  7. Looking good, but one suggestion if I may, next time before applying the decals, first shoot a gloss coat of clear, that way the decals don't silver, then seal with gloss again and then matt
  8. Same modus operandi as Revell Germany did with US merchandise, every quarter hobby shops here receive a listing of R-M product they can order. Oh well.
  9. very nice! anyway, I've noticed Hasegawa released another variation of this kit, this time a 2000 tI, with hubcaps
  10. now since they're one company, I wonder if availability in Europe will be improved, anyone in the know?
  11. if it's part of the deal and they're willing to invest, to tool up a tire mold and one for glass too, it will happen, what's otherwise the point of having it, unless they needed a heavyweight doorstop
  12. Would be nice, if Round-2 tools up an accessory set of lenses, one can use to upgrade their promo-style kits. Until then the offering by Barchetta will have to do....
  13. Not the first time, in the '90s in New York GM did the same with a GMC Sonoma, Mat Irvine who back then had a column called Freewheeling in the British magazine, Scale Models international reported it back then, dunno If I still have that copy, but if I do, I'll. scan it...
  14. Saw this one posted on the FB group "I Love Scale Models". Since the tires are already mounted on the rims, I'm wondering if tire melt would be a problem here
  15. Fireball Modelworks is designing just that, check out his FB site for the 3D renderings....
  16. Someday before I leave this blue rotating big ball, I'd like to have a full series of test shots(first shot up to approved for production shot) together with all the prints of the photo shoot and the 3D files. But the chances to that are slim, I'm guessing.....
  17. As a tribute, I'm posting my old built of the Monogram kit.
  18. Strange that Revell didn't tool the grille separate from the loop bumper, would've made the detail painting a bit easier... Great build BTW
  19. This tread made me dig out my BC version and mocked it up, question aren't these camper normally a bit wider, cuz I suspect the bunk is over the roof, no?
  20. Question on the roof of these van's, is it really smooth?
  21. Just messin' with ya
  22. Yeah rub it in Brett
