  1. dunno what"s in the kit, not much of an engine expert
  2. Value parts packs, fill a standard model kit box with tires. Cuz think that with the current ones, you pay more for the packaging then actual product.
  3. For a Jeep a multi piece body design is IMHO the best way to go, otherwise you end up with too many sinkmarks (look at Tamiya's Wrangler) There's also an advantage for the manufaturer, cuz it's cheaper to tool that way, so with those savings, IMHO they should've included an engine, certainly when you look at the detail incorporated into the underpinnings of the kit. So I'm still not sure if I'm gonna add this one to my collection.
  4. Looks great, and you made the chassis really pop, good to see there's a way to fix those headlamps, it was so un-Monogram back then. Wonder what the rationale was behind that choice,.... Bob Johnson in da house?
  5. Remember when Monogram announced this one, I pre-ordered as soon as I saw the pic in the catalog, but was suprised when my dealer handed over me the actual kit....
  6. 1) That would be a horror scenario, like a nuclear winter for American car modelers, too much money tied up in tooling, nothing left for inovation. 2) is there a very wealthy retired ex-model Guru residing in FL, who's wife is running a beauty salon cuz as we all know to make a small fortune in the model kit industry, one needs to start with a big fortune Anyway....lets sit back and see how it will unfold, in the next comming weeks, months?
  7. Maybe they thought it was this company...Revel
  8. Cool! I wanted to order one from the Modelhaus, for like forever, but never did....so good to see that Moebius is thinking outside the standard box Thanks for the pics Steve!
  9. Indeed, previous releases include, Vamprire, Blackgold, Desert Rat (a 4x4), and various NFL vans
  10. Steve, are there photo's of this utility bed?
  11. Thanks Steve, I've forwared your answer to him.
  12. Hi, A friend of mine wants to build this Jag, and wondres if there's a source (kit or aftermarket) for the wheels. And if so what the outside diameter is of the rim (in mm please) Thanks in advance for your help. jag.pdf
  13. Great info you all posted guys, many many thanks!!!
  14. I'm a child from the '70s (born in '68) and from another continent, so I remember these from growing up, watching TV shows and movies, Big Lincolns and Cadillacs were driven by the mafia, police cars were mostly Mopar, except on the streets of San Fransisco, and moms drove their kids to school in '76 Ford LTD's Country Squires...going on memory and generalising here, but the pics of cars that pop up in my head of what looked pleasing to the eye, when I was a kid, still please me now. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. I can't tell anything about lack of build quality, lack of power, to me the're just images of good times flown by, growing up...
  15. I don't like it, but fear you're right
  16. I'm with you, love them big Amercan cars of the '70s, but the question is are there enough of us in the world to support kits of those subjects.
  17. Wow...thanks for the info Chris! also can you tell me more about the balck one, cuz it sure looks great!
  18. Might, I said might...buy this one, to accompany the 1/32 scale Navy Phantom I've got, think a jet pilot could afford such a car
  19. Thanks for the info Steve, with the platform info you provided , I went to wikipedia, to investigate.. So in theory it looks like one could use the Revell 80s Olds Cutlass chassis, under a Perry's resin Malibu wagon?, right?!
  20. Hi guys; I'm wondering what other GM cars used the exact same Chassis/underbody/engine bay of this car. Thanks!
  21. Better still a plain 4dr. with something in the trunk
