  1. Hey Jordan, didn't realize that was your handy work...well done ! I just posted that to TJ down this page Thanks very much
  2. Nice job on the 442 Stuart! Really nice paint and detail Funny you should put Ontario plates on it, I knew a Stuart Cox here in St. Catharines Ontario, some 25 years ago (or more). Cheers
  3. Looking good Niko!! Just a little heads up..while doing Dan Gurney's '61, I found that the bottom line detail in front of the doors is actually a body line not the bottom of the chrome trim... I had to go back in and trim out that little sliver....just FYI
  4. That came out Great Steve ! It all gels nicely, and I can see the influences from Roger's works in it. Well done bud
  5. "And now for something completely different" from Pierre...Great start Really liking the body treatment
  6. Amazing!!!...I very much doubt that I could have the patience or dexterity to even attempt that. Well done, must be very satisfying
  7. I hear ya..had to file down the top arm of the water pump to get the alternator to fit square to the block..??? Don't even get me started on the instructions....cheezz I think it was a week and 2 days to finish this Tamiya kit..just a joy to build And thanks..I'll keep on keeping on... Cheers
  8. sorry Tim...I've used all my words up.... That is just incredible
  9. Right ..as well, it seems cost prohibitive to Salvino's to go that uneeded extra step. The other thing I am finding with this kit, is that the mounting points on just about every part are not made for each other...pins too big and or holes too small...easily fixed with a little reaming or scraping...unless of course it is on a plated part...then just cut the pin right off ! Anyway...Body sanded and into Duplicolor sandable white primer... Happy
  10. Bunch of parts (which I may, or may not use..lol) into paint..starting to sand out the body And what is with that seat on the left..? The bolster is on the left hand side.... ? Found something closer in the stash, so wiil add the proper padding..sorta kinda like this.. Later
  11. https://www.micronmeters.com/category/on-line-store Cheap, fast, and courteous I've used this stuff on my last 5-6 builds for ign. wire...50 ft for $4.00...awesome
  12. Nice work !! I did something similar to mine many years ago.. (hope you don't mind..it's the only time they get dusted and out of their cabinet)
  13. Yep..to each his own ..I used spray cans exclusively up until about 10 years ago..now I'm getting into craft paints thru the airbrush. The control is much better..the layers of paint are thinner...not to say you can't get a great finish with spray bombs, just that I found I was covering up alot of details. Have fun Cheers
  14. Nice job Kevin! Those hood struts are way cool..Great detail painting Cheers
  15. Are you yelling now ? We'll cross that bridge when we come to it Dave
  16. I've modified alot of kits, this one don't scare me..besides, that would mean me hunting for another kit ...plus time,..and money.. phhfft..this kit has enough plastic in it, I'll make do thanks
  17. The dust has been flying, adding in the small fender flares on the Monte. Some .010 sheet and Tamiya putty Also, found this '72 up for sale from Ray Evernham https://www.mecum.com/lots/503116/1972-chevrolet-monte-carlo-nascar/ and since I can't find any interior or engine shots of the '74, I'll go with it. A bit more sanding and it's going into sandable primer. Later
  18. Wow!! That is spacey man..it all just flows beautifully...and that interior is PLUSH Well done !
  19. You got me...nice finish on that Phil!
  20. Welcome Tom Very nice job on the wrecker..look forward to more of your builds !
  21. Ok plan B..went in with a diamond rotary bit and hacked the chrome off the front bumper where the driving lights are, and wallered out the 2 lower slots ...then started prototyping some sheet brass and styrene covers such as seen here and here Needs some refinement ..but getting closer Cheers
  22. I always spray darker over lighter...so spray the white,( wait to cure) ..mask,..spray the blue
  23. Went thru this myself with my 2016 Silverado,..HID bulb replacement at dealership,..$350 EACH Found the bulbs on Amazon $100 a pair...replaced them myself...only cost a couple beers
