  1. Doing an awesome job on your Dad's vette Kevin...almost there
  2. Fantastic..you never cease to amaze Claude! Like the engine treatment (2thumsup)
  3. Andrew,..you certainly seem to lose alot of parts,... because you are scratchbuilding ALOT of parts...! Looking really good by the way Cheers
  4. That looks great Greg! You've been a busy boy...is that a fully wired engine I see...? Lol
  5. Stunning ! Very crisp and clean build. Well done.
  6. I absolutely love the '59 Impala...it was my parents first car..my father got it as a wedding present from his father in 1960..I remember when it got towed out of the driveway dead, when I was around 8 years old (1970). We all stood in the driveway and waved goodbye and shed a few tears
  7. Mission accomplished as far as stance goes...everything just taped and balanced.. Now I can tear it all down and set the pins and spacers in place. Engine coming along.. And did some work to the interior..added a head rest and the lower 4th bars More soon
  8. Heres the kit, there is a chrome insert and then glass from the outside..
  9. That 1:1 glass is not curved at the top Pete.. that's chrome I was looking at those pics earlier and thinking,..you could replace that glass with flat packaging material..quite the curve from side to side , but flat top to bottom.
  10. I love those 80s Indy cars..you'll have fun with this one Ismael. I am a bit jealous tho.. that is the one that has escaped me over the years.
  11. Great idea ..I have about a dozen of those in my plumbing box...lol
  12. Cool shape ! Not bad for a snap kit eh?
  13. The chromed wheels had a lighter coating on the centers, so hit them with Alclad chrome to even them out and got the tires sanded out ..a 7/16" socket fits perfectly Now, on to that crazy front end cage..my goal is to get all suspension dry fitted to check the stance. More to come..Qs, Cs, and Cs always welcome...encouraged really.
  14. I always knew you liked the bigger scale models , but this is taking it a bit over the edge Bruce...lol
  15. It will stick to anything, just remember to have a wet Qtip ready after forming, to wipe off any residue
  16. Better stock up on 400g and 800g...lol
  17. And speaking of chrome, ..just out of the booth with a new coat of Alclad
  18. Let the acrylics dry for some days, and any clear Dullcoat or otherwise should be fine.
  19. I've had good luck with the CraftSmart paints from Micheals. Mix it 1:4 paint to water (tap is fine) and add a couple drops of Liquitex Flow aid (also Micheals) let it dry a couple days before clearing..here I used Future
  20. Definitely looks proud of the air dam surface yep.
  21. Ok...so went ahead and gave it 2 light coats of Duplicolor sandable black primer,..waited 45 min and started laying down the Duplicolor Victory red, warmed in hot water. 2 light coats, 2 medium...Think we got a winner...the black took just enough brightness out of it. Happy Later
  22. Holy mackerel, that poor p/e sheet It's been a bit jerky this afternoon for sure...lol
