Ok ,..here it is then, all legal like. My entry for the 2020 Cannonball Run Revell GmbH & Co. KG kit with Gofer Racing ignition wires... I had to customise that flat box right off the hop ? Cheers to ALL perfect vision Cannonballers !!!

from now on ..score one side fairly deep and snap it like drywall... Cheers and yes I've poked the end of a brand new #11 into my finger...and watched as the tip is expelled over the next week ...

This is the replacement hood I tried to match to white plastic body in last years Cannonball I started with Duplicolor Primer Sealer Grey The scoop came from a 67 corvette and is also molded in white... Then I sprayed Duplicolor Silver as a further barrier, from a tip I read on a forum somewhere.. There was a slight blush around the edges, but I thought the colour coat would cover... Nope.. So I painted it something totally different... Then I hit with clear, and the red came back again,..even worse, ...so black it is now... So you can't really say it doesn't happen

That is a very pale yellow, old plastic Steve..I was speaking more on the newer, deep yellow, orange, and red kits, but I will try your clear over primer under topcoat idea

Thanks Bill, I actually have some of that in the shop...phhtt use it all the time on knot holes before paint..never thought to use it on plastic.. I will try it and take pics... Cheers

I can only tell you what doesn't work lol Duplicolor grey sealer primer will NOT stop bleed thru Duplicolor Silver will NOT work Alclad white primer sealer will NOT work I've tried just about every combination of base coats to hide red or yellow paints,..all will seem fine, and then I shoot a clear coat and OHHH ya there it is again.... I found it easier to pick a different colour to paint my model hehehe There are other topics on the forum regarding this,..but the answer is hidden amongst unproven wive's tales and a serious lack of proof pictures.
