  7. Ain't that the truth!! LOL I build both auto and military kits. I see afew in that pile I'd like to have, but he's probably standing on the one I want, or its in the middle/ bottom of that stack.
  8. Yep. I just re-read that article this morning. There was a guy that still had the original nose cone off the rail that crashed in '69 , killing John. They weren't running the front bodywork that day. Its the only reason that piece of bodywork survived. They used that cone to match the paint for the new body tins.
  9. Ahhh, The Beebe and Mulligan digger!!! One of my ALL TIME favorites. Beautiful build's John. Love F/E rails!! That particular one especially. The late Pat Foster did a reproduction of that rail for the "Cackle Fest" reunions. I think Pat built the original frame for the B&M rail back in the day, didn't he?
  10. Just finished up another great trade with gardnerpag44 aka Paul Gardner. Great guy to trade with!! Will trade with again any time. Thanks Paul!!

  12. I like that!!! I have one in '50's aqua, but i really like the red. Sweet build!!
  13. I saw a guy do just that with a model of the Bismarck. He'd stir up the sediment on the bottom of the tank and let the water get cloudy, and snap pictures of it with a blue light behind the tank. It looked pretty cool!!!
  14. That particular pic was taken in Truk lagoon in the Pacific. Yep. Parts of that dive are only 50-75 feet deep. Some of the wrecks are deeper. It was a large Japanese forward naval base, and One of our carrier task forces went in and blew the living daylights out of anything that moved. Some of those wrecks still have live ordinance on board. Its easy to tell how deep a pic is taken by the colors visible on the dive equipment. Anything below 50 feet or so, and reds and yellows become more gray when viewed in natural light, which at that depth, starts to dim.
  15. Yep. You got it Vince!! Let me know if I can do anything for you and your family.
