  1. despite the masking issue, still looks amazing, its a great looking kit, and you are doing it justice, looking forward to more!
  2. It is going to be boring lightning blue - the colour of the box art - but don't worry, there is another GT in the stash that is likley to be more interesting! At the moment, I am doing some sub assemblies shown, but not doing and body painting until my Range Rover & Mitsubishi WRC are finished (I only have the capacity to do 2 body shells at a time...!
  3. Haven't finished a kit in a while, but still want to start new ones, I have a few of these kits in the stash, so its next up. As usual, excellent quality mouldings from Tamiya! I've run my usual process of removing from the sprue, cleaning up, cleaning, priming (with Proscale grey) and then painting. Lots of Tamiya X-18 from the airbrush, but also, some of the bigger parts were done with Tamiya Sei Gloss aerosol - i get better results like this. Also used some different Proscale metallics - like aluinium & steel. The body has also been scuffed, washed & is ready for painting - i'm just waiting to complete 2 inprogress builds before I attack the body...
  4. I've done a lot o spraying, masking & more spraying. First image is of the chassis, its very siple, but I masked and picked out the exhaust in Silver using Proscale paints. 2nd and 3rd image is of the interior tub finshed. First it was sprayed Proscale grey primer, then tamiya X-18, then masked & painted white with Proscale white primer. Finally, the half cylinder was painted red - only to add a bright colour, not following any reference images. 4th, 5th & 6th Photos are of the body and the body parts. Currently now flashing off & awaiting soe Proscale 2K clear. these were pimered with Proscale grey, sanded, then proscale white primer, sanded, then Zero red (similar to a tamiya spray - italian red). I'm probably going to start building the chassis before finishing the body... happy with the quality of the finish so far...!
  5. This build stalled because I need to get flocking into the Interior, and I'm still undecided as to whether I'll bother or not. In the meantime, this weekend, I got a few coats of primer on the body exterior after painting the inside the interior colour & then masking... ready for the metallic black...
  6. The colour is fantastic, really suits the car. Great build so far!
  7. Well, it was a great build until the mishap, now i hope the respray is successful!
  8. Love the body colour, and lots of detail on this build!
  9. Nice an clean, sharp Audi!
  10. It is an excellent build, those wheels imo don't suit the R34 though! I know what you mean by Tamiya underbody detail, its excessive considering nobody looks underneath! I'd rather have an engine bay tbh.
  11. Bagged this kit for £35 delivered, its jumped the other (hundreds) of kits in the stash to be next up. It is a sharp kit, plenty of details, seat belt material, photoetch. The mouldings are very good, split lines are minimal, ejector pins are located out of view, sprue contact points are well engineered. I'm liking what I see so far... https://images2.imgbox.com/87/ba/GsfZB1k7_o.jpg https://images2.imgbox.com/f6/6f/rApvFtA7_o.jpg https://images2.imgbox.com/57/2e/MQYmuqZd_o.jpg https://images2.imgbox.com/32/c2/3iL4YaGw_o.jpg The rear engine bay hatch is really tight, so currently trying to get the fit right... https://images2.imgbox.com/ca/b9/tTuNtTIt_o.jpg

  14. Such an iconic car. In terms of appearance, it'd fit tifht in today, its a timeless design. Youve done it justice, fantastic build, i do want both the long tail and shirt tail versions, but they are pricey kits!
  15. A sharp looking lotus, excellent photography too!
  16. That's really impressive considering it's mostly scratch built. Cool car and build!
  17. Leo will love his skyline. Beautifully finished bodywork.
  18. Absolutely beautiful Chang. The quality of the finish abd the sharp detailing make this look like a real car! Beautiful build, colour is fantastic abd the photos are pretty cool too!
