  1. Renwall made the kits, so Revell might have the molds. After the beating they took with the Club de Mer. I wonder if they would risk it?
  2. These kits didn't sell well . I picked up a built one at a model show for $8. If the molds were found it would be an exercise in losing money, this would be a statement about it. " how do you make a million dollars selling model kits? Start with two million."
  3. Very nice work. I like the 68-69 toronados
  4. Who does a resin LTDII kit?
  5. It's great. made a dull kit snazzy.
  6. I have this blue Craftsman 57 Tbird. No chassis screws just pins Seems like the junior Craftsman had screws, or is that my imagination. I also checked this kit against the Trophy series kit . the molding is close but not exact
  7. PMC made the promo with interior and glass. The buddy L Texaco station had a simplified version. Falcon, did you make the interior?
  8. who made the resin do you think?
  9. Terry, I give you credit. It looks great.
  10. This Wonderbird was a parts an expensive deleted part kit (low part count more custom parts making stock sometimes not possible as the regular kit)with a can of pearlescent spray to cover the colored plastic. I always thought all these 57 TBIrds were derived from the promo but now I think they were derived from the same 1/10 wood master
  11. Tower Hobbies lists it on their website @‌ $20.99 early october
  12. Mixing topics in a thread will get you inappropriate responses. Sorry, but the topic was new added Round2, then Coronado. Is Miss Budweiser coming from Round2.
  13. The stopped making the wooden Century Coronado in 1968 and I believe the later ones used Ford 427 FE engines. These boats are heavy, over built boats to take the power of a big V8. They easily do 40mph.I know that sounds slow, but 30mph was fast in 1960 for most common lake boats found in the waters such as Lake Winnipesaukee in the late 1950s.
  14. I think a Cadillac V8 from the AMT 1949 Ford kit may be appropriate. Century used 331HEMIs and Caddy V8s
  15. I also believe some of these cars had more than one tool. The 1964 Galaxie, the 1966 Mustang conv/coupe to name two more. One was destroyed in modification and the other lived on as original.
  16. Tim, I like this 2 axle trailer . This is what is need edfor the re-pop Palmer boats. ANy details on how you built it
  17. Despite the premise, it is not really a snap kit. I guess it is possible, but I had to cut and shave everything to get it to fit. The original AMT 1964 is my favorite for shape and simplicity less detail but it fits nice.
  18. If you cut a horizontal slice in the rear quarter, you can correct it to approximate a Johan.
  19. I thought you were going to say holes for antennae and mirrors. Besides the colored plastic, some, maybe all Craftsman kits had open holes for accessories
  20. True, Iowa not Illinois. There is always hope , but we have to realistic
  21. It's not clear to me if these tools survived the trip from Detroit to Baltimore and out to Dyersville, IL. It wouldn't surprise me if some of the tools were taken away like the 1934 Ford pickup that ended in Lindberg's hands. If ERTL didn't do them , they are probably lost
  22. definitely a good ideay . maybe I will try someday
  23. I think it will have roll pans and other custom trearments but the add on Styline parts were a short run. Even the 57 TBIrd had them.
  24. I didn't like any cars made after 1971.
  25. It's become an issue of how original parts will Round2 reissue?
