  1. you did a great job bringing it back.
  2. Good photos , great building
  3. All the cars loo the same today! Even Mercedez look like Toyotas and Lexus. Must be tough being a cop and reporting the get away car
  4. When the Get Smart version came out they used AMT compact tires. Current configuration fits. maybe the Modelhaus 265s fit
  5. SOme re-engineering of the suspension is in order. You got the job to figure it out.
  6. General Mills bought MPC from George Toteff in 1970 though I believe the 1971 boxes shows nothing. 1972 first GM logo
  7. The color is great . I have seen it in the sme color 1:1
  8. The original Bonneville kit had side windows. I wish they would bring them back . Almost all the 1965 AMT hardtop kits had them.
  9. ErtL used to use older built -ups for their box photo; meaning it became like a box of chocolates
  10. I met them at a Boston Chyrsler -Plymouth dealer back in the Summer of 1971. My brother reluctantly took me there.
  11. The roll bar wasn't a deal breaker for me. I think th model looks great.
  12. Very nicely detailed! I have the revell 1968 Charger . After I finish all the MPC versions , I will build it.
  13. Maybe the 1971 tooling became a 1974 Roadrunner GTX? I compared the yellow 80s 1971 to the original. Close but not exactly the same.
  14. Is it my imagination , or is the seat higher than the steering wheel? I have that kit and the box says "1964 GTO" no kidding
  15. I find some promos to be less cost than an unbuilt kit and not painted too. I cut open the hood and use an available kit. I am doing this with the 1967 galaxie promo and 66 galaxie kit
  16. There are 3 1972 GTO bodies The original says 400 on the rocker panel. Became a NASCAR or modified stocker. The second body is from 1980 or so.Think this one became a 1970. Same bumpers just different bodies. You have to narrow the rear slice the trunk and push apart with evergreen styrene.
  17. Like a lot of the 1970s AMT kits before computers, the fit is so so. The front end is picky. Sits funny. Not everybody is going to like it.
  18. My Sunbeam painted as Don Adams personal car an in the opening credits. This was the Matchbox 1980 issue but the same.
  19. Keep going and build a 77 TBird
  20. I don't see anything
  21. I believe that Century is a 22' boat as is the Owens. . They need a 4 wheel trailer due to their size. Maybe we can hack up a 76 Caprice Trailer?
  22. All we need is Round2 to bring back their AMT 1979 Bronco.
  23. I don't have a Johan but I do have a Revell, Your Johan is an inspiration to build my Newport even thought it is not as sporty with it's bench seat. Maybe not as good model.
  24. The fenders were separate so that AMT could sell it as a Ventura or a Novacaine funny car
  25. maybe not as nice but a very decent starting point
