  13. West craft was a real 1:1 product of AMT . I suspect the name is based on West Gallogly, the lawyer who started AMT in 1948. He had friends at Ford who supported his business Alumiun Metal Toys.
  14. The chevy v6 was .75X350 much bigger engine. I was thing of cutting a 1965 Riviera V8 to 75% problem is it's a nailhead the AMT ERTL Somona has the 4.3 V6 not 231ci and it's a tuned port
  15. AMT used this sparate fender body for the 1972 Pontiac Ventura, Novacaine funny car, and the stock 1972 Nova. One body fits all , differrent front fenders
  16. The old AMT and MPC kits are promo based which means they lack in chassis details. Most of the AMT 1970s kits (Camaro, Mustang TBIrd, Torino LTD/Galaxie) were more like promo design than kit design
  17. The metric transmission failure for me was like this. You come to a stop. Then step on the gas and you feel like somebody hit you from the rear when it starts to work 1st transmission 30,000 2nd 30,000. who makes a 1/25 231 V6 Buick enginethat I can use for this model?
  18. The days of 1/8 mile oval tracks.
  19. Those chrome wheels and paint look great together.
  20. The color is great!
  21. The Citation had an E475 engine. I believe that was the torque value.
  22. The light metric auto-transmissions and bad radiators made 200, 000 miles impossible
