I remember the new Chevelle SSs in the showroom in 1972. They never seemed to have a 454 just 350s and 402s. This kit is how I remember them This model combines the 1972 AMT Chevelle front clip and the ERTL 1968 Elcamino.
There were 2 1965 big body Pontiac AMT toosl ; the Bonneville and the GP. ERTL modified the Bonneville to a 2+2 Only the flat kit has the blue glass but white plastic? I want blue glass blue plastic.
I think the 1/10 was used as master for the pantograph technique. I noticed that the AMT '57 Ford kit from 1963 has many similarities as the 1957 promo. I would guess that the 1/10 master was used more than once.
I put the kit together but it had a funny stance. Parts fit reminded me of some of the terrible kits of the late 60s early 70s. Definitely not a snap kit. While building you have to re-engineer the whole kit
This Missing Link Revell chassis combo looks better than the original MPC kit that I built in the 70s The stance is better. I didn't think the MPC fit that well
