  1. Plastikote lacquer from auto parts store that looked very close to a photo that I had, Clear over it later.
  2. I remember the new Chevelle SSs in the showroom in 1972. They never seemed to have a 454 just 350s and 402s. This kit is how I remember them This model combines the 1972 AMT Chevelle front clip and the ERTL 1968 Elcamino.
  3. Ron , these headlights are jewels fom Jo-Ann Fabrics. I filed them round and used plastic polish to make them shine
  4. There were 2 1965 big body Pontiac AMT toosl ; the Bonneville and the GP. ERTL modified the Bonneville to a 2+2 Only the flat kit has the blue glass but white plastic? I want blue glass blue plastic.

  10. Ron , did you have any problems poping out the clear headlights on that Buick?
  11. I think the 1/10 was used as master for the pantograph technique. I noticed that the AMT '57 Ford kit from 1963 has many similarities as the 1957 promo. I would guess that the 1/10 master was used more than once.
  12. I think AMT did their tool based on a 1/10 wood model (done by AMT or General motors?)
  13. Lacquer over enamel has been trouble for me

  17. Did the 427 Cammer come from the 66 Galaxie?
  18. Wasn't one of the V6s a "FIREBALL V6"?
  19. Snake, maybe you are correct. AIt is what it is. so we deal with it
  20. It sits very crooked and too high. The blue is AMT 1964 LeMans
  21. I put the kit together but it had a funny stance. Parts fit reminded me of some of the terrible kits of the late 60s early 70s. Definitely not a snap kit. While building you have to re-engineer the whole kit
  22. Ace, does it have the side window glass?
  23. I just put together a brand new PL 1964 GTO convertible. No Glass or convertible boot. Kit was sealed. Anybody have this problem too??
  24. This Missing Link Revell chassis combo looks better than the original MPC kit that I built in the 70s The stance is better. I didn't think the MPC fit that well
  25. Great 1970 full bumpers. I need to build mine sometime
