  1. Killer deal, Mike! Worth it just for the tires - plus, put the taillights and hood ornament on eBay and you'll probably get your money back x10.
  2. Weird - I got a 403 error the first time.
  3. Mmmm, nice! The original issue '40 pickup has the '37 DeSoto bumpers for it.
  4. Yep - When Tulio (Lovefordgalaxie) posted the AMT and Revell '40 coupes side by side, there was a definite difference - IIRC the Revell kit looked about 3/16" longer.
  5. I asked Ed Sexton from Revell about putting the old parts back into the '40 Pickup - he said it was a no-go, unfortunately.
  6. Which is a '61 Cadillac wheel cover minus the Caddy crest.
  7. Nothing like an old fashioned spit shine!
  8. Hey, if Ed Roth can stuff a 406 Ford in a '55 Chevy... The Budget Buggy.
  9. OK George - just joined FB recently and have an order stripped and ready. Welcome back!
  10. Chris, if you still need a '60 DeSoto interior, I have one that someone stuck in my '59 Plymouth - it's painted and a little beat-up but definitely usable. PM me your address and I'll send it along. I'll sink it in the purple pond tonight to get it cleaned up.
  11. Plus it has a real nice set of T-bird wire wheels that are just the ticket for dressing up the Monogram '58, or original '55 Chevy. I've cast up a few sets of the wheels but haven't had success with the knockoffs yet.
  12. Looks like that's when it got the round single headlights and radiused rear wheel openings, too. Has anyone here ever tried using a narrowed portion of that roof to make a '59 sedan delivery from the AMT El Camino?
  13. vintagemodelcarparts (eBay seller) has a bunch of ambulance parts listed right now; if they don't sell this time he'll drop the price on the next go-round: https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_sop=10&_ssn=vintagemodelcarparts&_osacat=0&ssPageName=STRK%3Anull%3AMESOI&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xcadillac.TRS0&_nkw=cadillac&_sacat=0
  14. Odd thing about the Monogram '40 pickup's finned heads; they have no spark plug detail to speak of. I ended up cutting all eight plugs out of the stock heads and inserting them into the finned ones.
  15. Thank you David! Just ordered three of 'em; that'll take care of the MPC Vette, AMT '63 Impala and '65 El Camino.
  16. One thing about Tamiya putty: I have to shake the tube before I use it because it separates a bit and can come out runny. Have you tried shaking the Squadron tube to make it consistent?
  17. Only problem I have with Fotki is that since a couple months ago, I keep getting blocked images that lead to false warnings: Guess it's an XP thing; I just end up opening them in new tabs and then reload the forum page.
  18. Been rolling a lot of gutter balls lately with my bids on eBay, but I picked up a spare this time: Original issue '60 Vette with working suspension. I say "picked up a spare" also because I have a current-issue one - another future club raffle donation, maybe. Anyone know a good source for a Powerglide for this one?
  19. Nope, but here it is on YouTube:
