  8. Thanks Kerry its certainly keeping the moral high I finally got to scratchbuild something on the trailer, the air deflector skirts. I've behaved myself so far..and Tom agreed we should add them
  9. Thanks Jim ! Day 4 of isolation after walking dog , fixing ceiling tile I was supposed to replace 2 months ago and lunch.. Really enjoying this build , even more now the decals are on
  10. Way to go !!! Sometimes setting them aside for a fresh breath really helps get motivated to putter with a kit Your doing a really fine job
  11. Thanks Kerry both Tom and I are rolling right along I'll have to swing by dads or lumber yard for a base for this .
  12. Looks good !!! Definitely like the blue Did ya end up using a metal axle ?
  13. Well the time finally came to work on the trailer decals. I've gotta say this first, Jerry Reeter makes a fantastic decal sheet !!! Theres several large sections, that in our case have to lay down over rivets, and panel lines. I trimmed one section to fit inside the aluminum rails..and after several procrastinating episodes..splashed them in water . Working very slowly w q tips and paper towel, I worked the decal into place . I trimmed section 2 , and noticed there was about 1/4 " overlap. Checking multiple times where the overlap would fall..right over a strip of rivets...not happening. Trimming off a few 1/16ths.. and extra decal from top and bottom.. The overlap.. After checking everything several times not wanting to mess these up..the next panel went swimming I brushed some decal solvent over the rivets after working the water out , and letting things dry overnight. Ohh..that's not Charmin either..only angel soft in our house lol
  14. Thanks Brian ! Hopefully Jamie fires back up the molds for the Oshkosh cabs..I've seen a few other trucks I'd like to model
  15. Painted the bumper and skirts Satin black, really like the contrast. my container of super clean is full of chrome parts getting stripped of bling since we're building fleet rigs . The visor and mirrors will be body color, the rest will end up alum plate or SS
  16. I have a feeling these trucks would need armored guards bringing them into towns after wandering thru the grocery stores lol ! As much a panic it would cause right now...a convoy of Abrams tanks and Apaches overhead would make for an interesting break from being inside on quarantine
  17. Fantastic looking logger
  18. Dr Kerry- hahahhaha awesome yeah I get chuckle everytime that commercial comes on TV Thanks it seemed appropriate, especially when jerry printed the decals . Gotta keep a positive attitude during this mess..what better way Thanks Tom came up with it , since were always texting builds anyway lol what better way to build the same project
  19. Tom your really knocking this quarantine build out !!! I've been bashing away too , the siren song from the Prostar box was too much resist..so I drove right in ... we decided ealry on to build a fleet truck, so steel wheels are going on. I'm using a mix of Double Takes wheels and moluminum. The frame flew together, and the engine is peeking from the back, along w the partially assembled cab shell. Since the primer was nearby, and keeping the fun going , I grabbed the hood and sprayed a coat of tamiya fine white thanks for following !
  20. Tom - yeah buddy I spy a charmin build !
