  1. Very nice rebuild. What did you use to make the vinyl roof?
  2. I'm not liking this along with some of Chevy's other designs like the Equinox. Too many pointless creases along the body. Certainly not for aerodynamics. Same for the Malibu and to some extent, the Impala. They're just looking more and more like appliances.
  3. Oh snap! I never noticed that.
  4. 1936 or 37 Cord 812. Not on the road but on display at Cap City in Fort Myers, FL.
  5. The Galaxie is a reproduction of one of my dad's cars. He's sporting lakes, spotlights and Fiestas so that's how I built it. My attempt at old school Trues and Vogues. Thanks everyone and I hope we all have a happy and productive new year.
  6. Agree 100%. Beautiful build.
  7. You can try the hot/cold water method. Dip a portion of the model (roof, hood, sides, etc) into a bowl of very hot water while reshaping then immediately place into a bowl of cold water, still holding the shape. You'll need to do this several times and be careful not to bend the plastic too forcefully to avoid breaking it. And of course be careful not to burn yourself. I used this method on a '58 Fleetwood promo with fair results. Not perfect but did remove a good amount of the shrinkage/warpage. Individual results may vary. If you're able to make bucks that may help in the process.
  8. Very interesting video. With so many men at work shows why there was once a thriving middle class. That would be a very cool diorama if you can pull it off.
  9. Just purchased these wheels from them yesterday for the 2002 I got for xmas. Hope they don't take too long to arrive.
  10. I'm watching. This is something I've been thinking about for some time.
  11. Managed to get four done this year. One more than last year.
  12. My wife saw this parked at the DMV. I have no idea what it is. Can anyone identify it. Sorry for the poor pic.
  13. I was excited to see this kit on ebay recently and was going to bid. Luckily I found a kit review by Chuck Most, I believe, before I bid. I passed.
  14. The paint, the stance, the engine bay details, even the custom roof.
  15. Looking really good Steven. The dash alone is a work of art. I love your wood grain technique.
  16. I'm digging this. If only Revell would tool a stock version of the 48 Cadillac so we get those classic body lines to play with. A 55 would be nice too.
  17. You are correct. It's Testor enamel not Model Master. I'll follow your suggested wait times between coats when I respray. I used Tamiya Lacquer Thinner and wiped off all the paint and primer then washed the hood with dishwashing liquid. Letting it dry thoroughly before I try it again.
