  4. finally got back to this the other day. i had been thinking of doing it sublime green, but just couldn't do it, wanted something a little different, but didn't know what. so, after what seems like forever, i settled on GM Dark Labyrinth Metallic, or tungsten if you prefer, lol, it's a dark gray metallic. i also opted for the silver hemi decals for the quarter panels. now, i'm undecided on interior color................ugh.....,but, here is where i am at now, thanks for looking, should have regular updates on this now.
  5. thanks all Chris, here are a couple chassis shots,

    my 2016 builds

Thanks Dan. I managed to finish up one more, not pleased with this one, got in a rush to get it done.........was tired of seeing it on the bench......... that's definitely the last one for 2016.
  10. I really like the chevelle, both look great to me
  11. Richard, Jesus and Sam, you're added to the list
  12. i don't usually venture in here, but after seeing this, i will look around here more, fantastic build, absolutely beautiful.
  13. my goodness that's pretty! what a beautiful build, well done.
  14. that is pretty sweet, i really like the whole theme.
  15. in my opinion, if bmf gives you trouble, alclad will make you lose your mind [ask me how i know, lol] my best advice, use bmf, also, go to HL and get some of the tiny q-tip looking things, the real small ones. lay down your bmf, then take the tiny q-tip and rub the foil down real good, now with a new blade, trim the foil around the body/molding lines, peel off excess, then with tiny q-tip like device mentioned earlier, re rub the foil down along where it was trimmed. this will help smooth any jagged edges from cutting. trust me, once you get a feel for the bmf, you'll love it, and if one part doesn't look right, peel it off, and try again, you'll be glad you did. i think you have a good start on foiling, i think with a little practice, you'll have it mastered.
  16. crisp and clean comes to mind, very nice build.
  17. Harry, if you insist on posting pictures of real cars, i will boycot your posts........ seriously, beautiful work, and we are all pulling for you to continue the master works you produce. now, what's missing a mirror............

    My 2 for 2016

wow, can't go wrong with those two, outstanding work.
  20. that looks fantastic! your foil looks pretty good to me. trick to the foil is to rub it down real good, and when cutting, just drag the blade, no need to put pressure on it, the weight of the knife/blade is enough to cut it. again, very nice build
  21. sweet! really dig those builds
  22. wow, not a clunker in the bunch! when do you find time for hobbies
  23. nice group of builds, nice assortment of subjects too.
  24. that's cool that you have builds from your youth, and are 'lightly restoring' them. like many others, mine are all gone, and probably in a landfill somewhere. upside of my story is, i have been able to repurchase unbuilt kits of all the stuff i remember building, and as i slowly build them, it takes me right back to when i did them the first time
