  1. Oh yeah, that looks great with the black bumpers, and that hint of chrome on the grill……, love the way that looks!

Sweet ride! Absolutely love the look, beautifully done.
  3. That is drop dead gorgeous! Fabulous build, and that clear hood is just too cool.
  4. Absolutely love it! Clean and understated, but really draws your eye, beautiful build!
  5. Love the color, and much to my personal suprise, I really like the black wheels. Great looking build!

Haha, I only mentioned it as you already had the chrome stripped, I really hope you post some pics with them in gloss black, even if you do decide to go chrome.
  7. Wow! Very well done, love the headlight just hanging out, the chain, the mirror……, very convincing. Fantastic rust as well, for the longest time I wished I could lay down a smooth glossy paint job, now I wish I could do the weathered distressed look. Great looking build!
  8. Beautifully done, gorgeous looking car!
  9. That color is just off the charts! Man, that’s just a killer color. Excellent detail under the hood too, great build Ken!

I really dig the flat black on that, but I can’t help but wonder how it would look with gloss black bumpers and grill??

Thank you, the interior color is tamiya TS-68 with a dullcoat over it.
  12. Thank you for the kind words, it was an enjoyable build. Amazingly enough, I didn’t have to use decal solvent to get the hood decals to conform, they went on incredibly well.

Thank you so much everyone, I’m a bit overwhelmed at the response to my build to be honest, really appreciate all the positive comments, thanks again.
  14. I like it, I think once you have it all detailed out, you’ll like it too.
  15. Gorgeous….., colors are fantastic. my only issue is the rain drops are out of scale…..?
  16. Oh man that’s pretty!

Thought I should add a chassis pic as well
  18. Thought I’d posted this, but guess I didn’t, lol. Finished in fathom green with a dark green interior. Used model car garage PE set and a MAD pre wired distributor. Another well engineered kit that goes together pretty nice. Thanks for looking.

Thank you all for the very kind comments, very much appreciated. as to the wheels/hub caps, I did some online research, and it seems that style hub cap was called a deluxe wheel cover and was available from 68-74, now, weather or not the info I found is accurate, I can’t say with certainty, but, the wheels in the impala kit were close enough for me, and let’s face it, probably most of the classic Chevrolets we build end up with rally wheels, and I wanted something different this time around ( not to mention detailing rally wheels is a pain , lol) . Here is a pic I found online of the wheel cover,
  20. Great looking C5, lot of people don’t care for the body side moldings, but I think they add that little something to accentuate to body lines. Not to hijack or go off the rails, but here is a pic of mine,
  21. Very well done, you really captured the look of the 1:1. I really like that build, just fantastic!
  22. Thanks guys, I mocked it up again on the bench to see how things were looking, might just get back on this soon.

Finally had some daylight time to take a few pics. Finished in Marlboro maroon and tan interior. I used the wheels from the AMT 70 impala, everything else was in the kit. Built up nice , highly recommended. It is the yenko version kit, this kit has a way more complete decal sheet than prior issues. thanks for looking.
  24. Agreed, love the color and like the pit stripes as well. we gotta see a pic of your C5 as well ( I also own a C5)
  25. Tim, thanks for posting those pics, I’m really looking forward to this kit.
