Masking tape, roll some around your finger and press it on the decal and slowly lift, should lift the decal off, most likely in little bits at a time.

Peterbilt "Class" Adverts
tbill replied to Rockford's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Pretty cool. Thanks for posting that. -
I use spray cans, when I returned to building, I had paint issues as well, always got orange peel, and lots of it. Thru experiment and reading topics here, I found that a ‘quick and close’ method worked for me. And I always do a full on ‘wet’ coat. Obviously air brushing is a different game, but I’m still in rattle can territory. Here are some examples before clear coat polishing,

tbill replied to Vettegasser's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Off to a great start. I got lucky, have two 4200’s in the stash that I got for cheap a few years back. -

Making some progress, adding a Neway lift axle ( from GW Trucks), got enough of the frame together to get the lift axle somewhat situated, mocked it up with some other wheels/tires I had on hand just to get a feel for things. Still a lot to do on the frame and lift axle, but it’s moving along. -

I’m in, last year was an epic fail, but this one I’ll finish, lol. Italeri Pete 378 with moebius flat bed trailer. -
Great looking group, I really like the ‘smooth’ look of them all, if that makes sense. I’m torn between the t bird and elco as my favorite. Well done on all, can picture all of them showing up to a cruise night.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I really went on a building spree around mid September early October , and then had Christmas week off, so got a lot done late in the year.
-
Got more done than I realized this year, considering from April to September I really didn’t build anything, the rig was built in about 12 hours, few buddies and I did a 24 hours of Daytona build-off, mostly pleased with what I got done this year.

Thanks for all the positive comments, was a fun build. The color really pops in the right light.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, it’s just such a cool kit with tons of possibilities.
