  1. Can a dump truck be called sexy? don’t care, I’m saying it, that dump truck is sexy!
  2. Thanks for the info, I didn’t know if I’d missed the release or if it just hadn’t made it over here yet. Still have a few in the stash, but I really like that kit.
  3. Fantastic job on this trailer, you really nail the look on these ‘older’ rigs/trailers.
  4. Should be a great build. Where did you get the kit? Was thinking of this kit earlier today, and realized I haven’t seen it for sale anywhere.
  5. Took awhile for the USPS to get it here, almost 3 weeks, but they got here ….
  6. Sweet looking ride! Get some wheel time before the weather goes to blah.
  7. So, the cab hinge issue didn’t get addressed on this, as I got ahead of myself, maybe next time. But, I have been picking away at it. Here are some mock up pics…
  8. E for Ella
  9. 2112
  10. 409
  11. 1320
  12. I use liquid glue for joining block halves and seat parts, I have found after getting the best fit possible while joining the parts, I can usually sand the seam ‘away’ with no filler needed, and not destroy or lose any detail. Edit, granted I didn’t answer your question, but tried to show another way around having to use filler.
  13. Tbill came about one day at work about 25 years ago, one of the managers at work was talking about treasury bills, looked over at me, and said, ‘well what do you know, you’re a T bill too!’ ( obvious play on my name, Tom Billings), and from then on, he always referred to me as Tbill, so I started using it as my screen name after that.
  14. You’ve outdone yourself on this one, just a beautiful clean build of a great looking COE, well done!
  15. I too have added a couple to the fleet since my last post…
  16. Good looking truck! Most of those left in this area are missing metal up to and including the drip rails….
  17. Front bumpers are totally different, rear bumpers are totally different as well. 1970 front fenders are different due to the marker lamps in the lower front portion. you’re best bet as mentioned, is to find a 72 and back date it, other than the obvious grille and turn signal /marker lamps differences, the rest is the same , reverse lamps are slightly different between the two years, but in scale, hardly noticeable.
  18. Thanks fellas.
  19. That’s looking really good! once you build a few of the multi part cabs, you’ll start to like them, they seem to be more crisp than the one part cabs.
  20. That came out fantastic, glad the decals were still useable. the 66 chevelle is one of my favorite cars, and I love the kit, I’ve built 4 of them so far. Still need to build a replica of the one I had……
  21. Can’t help but wonder if these Miller kits sell well, if they will bring back all the ‘beer’ sets and actually sell them as sets like back in the day. edit, about time for the bed bugger kits to make a return as well…..
  22. Thanks guys. Jeff, frame color will come to me at the appropriate time, lol. I finally found the info another member sent me back in 2015 for the measurements to drop the cab to a more realistic height and still tilt properly, so I’ll be doing that on this build. I’m also using moebius wheels and some tires from Gary Wallace (GW trucks). So, stay tuned, plan to actually keep working on this when time allows.
