Yet another project I shouldn’t have started just yet, haha. I bought this paint at NNL east when I got the pearl green, so, had to see what it would look like on something......., it’s different for sure...., tamiya pearl light red......

As if I don’t already have enough projects going, I painted this a few days ago or so. No real plan yet, that will play out as I stumble along on this build. Color is a GM color. Thanks for looking.

Thanks all. Shambles, terrific looking build! Hope this comes out as good. got the black painted along the lower rockers. I’m still debating interior color, kind of want to go with something in the green family, but have yet to find a color that looks right to me .

Nice work so far, the added details really make the difference.

Jim B just finished this build, but is having issues starting new topics, so stay tuned while he replies to this and adds his pics/description.

While waiting for paint to dry on parts for the elcatona project, I cracked the seal on this and got the body in color. At NNL east I bought a can of tamiya pearl green with no plan for it, but once I opened this kit, I knew it was the perfect color for this build ( plus I probably saw a build of this kit in this color somewhere, and it stuck subliminally , lol). So anyway, we are off and running with this one.

After much thought, I decided to go with steel wheels with poverty caps, wrapped in redline tires, which I robbed out of the revell 68 charger kit, and have the exhaust somewhat sorted out. Need to add some styrene to the front of the pipes to meet the manifolds, but making progress.

Masked off the top and engine bay, I hope I burnished the tape down enough to prevent bleed thru..... i hit the top with dull coat to knock the shine down, but left the engine bay semi gloss, it looks pretty good, will unmask tomorrow and see if my tape job was good enough....., stay tuned, and thanks for looking.
