  1. That’s looking sweet! The foil will really make that pop.
  2. Thanks, I traded two boxes and a few bucks for that one, got a smoking deal on it, or I wouldn’t have done it. I have most of my stuff arranged by category, but the fast moving stuff is in the two top drawers ( sockets/ratchets/air/electric tools in top drawer, wrenches in second drawer), got more invested in that thing than what I payed for my house , haha.
  3. Not a snap on snob, but after 30 years of doing this for a paycheck , I like to use what works, and what holds value . As far as tool boxes go, I prefer snap on for work, I’ve found them to be a touch better than the competition, and hold value better. Luckily, I bought the last one I plan on buying a few years back, and if I have to stand in front of it 8 hours a day, I want something nice to look at, lol.
  4. What irked me today? Nothing, nada, work was relatively smooth, weather straightened out , enjoyed the ride home from work , and so far, am having a delightful evening at home. i hope this does not irk any of you ?
  5. Lol, not sure I was too keen on this in the beginning, but you’re right, the black top really helps it, I think once the chrome trim is done and all the bits are on it, it’ll ‘flow’ a bit more and look quite possibly like a real car.
  6. Very nice! This is going to be special, carry on.
  7. The next ‘cycle’ of car model building is going to be huge. Why do I say this you ask? Simple, when all of us 50+ age guys kick it, there is going to be a glut in the secondary market, kits will be super cheap, so many will pick it up due to low cost...... ya, that was a little tongue in cheek, but, I see it happening, I know a lot of the guys on here have huge piles of kits ( myself included ), they all gotta go somewhere when we are gone.
  8. Nice job, I like the freight?
  9. Looks great! You do have to beat some of these kits into submission, lol.
  10. Interior is done
  11. Just read this whole thread, start to finish...., all I can say is, holy cow Batman! Stunning from any and all angles, fantastic work and attention to detail.
  12. Finally got all the exhaust bits sorted out, and now those are painted up. Will be using the exhaust tips from the superbird kit and they will exit just under the bumper. Got the rest of the suspension parts in color as well, so will probably be able to get the chassis on wheels and engine installed this week. Also finished off the dash and steering wheel.
  13. I think the black stripe is the way to go
  14. The revell pro street 67 chevelle kit has a good donor chassis for tubbing stuff, I’ve used the back half chassis on a 41 Plymouth , 59 caddy and a 66 chevelle so far, ironically, have yet to build the 67 pro street kit.
  15. Lol, I just commented in your build thread, I had perused your topic before, so I am guessing that’s where my green idea came from.......
  16. Looking good, I knew the idea to do mine green came from something I saw here, haha.
  17. This is really looking great! Should be a stunner when done .
  18. That is pretty neat, love all the extra bits you added, well done.
  19. WOW ! That is pure beauty right there!
  20. Another fantastic rust bucket, all it’s missing is a few small dents .
  21. Great looking build. I have one of these kits, but after reading the horror stories, been afraid to try it, but after seeing this, I may give it a go.
  22. Cool build, I have a few of these, seeing this really makes me want to start one , like right now. Wasn’t the yellow one a convertible?
  23. Gorgeous!
  24. Good point, and with that, for me, the only one that comes close would be the corvette. Initially, I was going to say chevelle/Malibu, but then I’d have to lump in the modern versions——- yuck....
