  1. Welcome Dennis, from Dennis! Lots of muscle cars here!
  2. Nice simple dio! I like it.
  3. Very well done Curt! Clean and neat.
  4. Nice indeed!
  5. Fantastic paint work!! I'm sure you'll get there.
  6. Regarding the Aussieball, I think perhaps folks got confused with the off-road part. Some guys are into off-road so they built what they are familiar with. That's cool, but most of us aren't going to do that. If you look at my Land Cruiser you will see that I did a lot of little fabrication but not the full scale fab work a lot of others did. One could have just as easily used a stock four wheeler as I did and added their own touches. Frankly I'm good with whatever gets folks interested, because that's what it's all about. Right?
  7. Well, I bought their turbo pair a couple of months ago (1/24) and the detail on the flanges is excellent. There are connections for the oil lines and other details that don't require any work at all as far as I can see. Hope that helps.
  8. Nice work Jesse. Hey for my light bar, I just used white glue in the bottom of the channel with a toothpick and then just dropped the "lights" in. Did a short section at a time so the glue wouldn't dry.
  9. Hang in there Harry.
  10. I heard it bandied about but I wasn't aware of a decision. I like a theme myself but understand the desire for folks not wanting limits. Personally I think limits are good. The Sleeperball I guess was unlimited with limits. How about period unlimited? Say 1930's (or 40's or 50's) cars unlimited but using period available hardware. That would be a challenge without limiting imagination.
  11. Nice work Matthew! Looks like you're winding it down now.
  12. Shaping up nicely!!
  13. My Land Cruiser entry kept the drivetrain mostly stock as these vehicles have proven themselves off-road capable, although I did add propane injection to help with fuel economy on the stretches where it might be tough to get fuel. I also added a fabricated top-mounted intercooler and fabricated a more efficient air filter box as the stock units are notoriously restrictive. I added an additional fuel tank and sealed the fuel door and added dual quick fill fuel inlets to the side of the truck. I fabricated the off road jack, and both bumpers, clevis on the rear bumper and the winch on the front. The winch was all bits and parts from the parts bin except the rollers on the front which came from the kit bumper. The lights were fabricated as well from styrene channel and beads. The snorkel was fabricated except for the inlet at the top. I just didn't like the body from the unit I bought. There's more but enough words, I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I did building it.
  14. Wow, nice builds guys. I just finished my pics for the Aussieball so I'll be full bore on the truck. Having trouble getting the suspension squared up. I'll post pics when I've got all four wheels on the ground!
  15. Nice work!
