  1. Oh yeah!!
  2. Welcome John! I'm with you, I just can't get into the whole winter activity thing. Running the snowblower is about as "sporting" as I get.
  3. I missed the post on Paul's passing. My heart goes out to his family.
  4. Sad news. I've used him a few times. Wish I'd bought for the stash now.
  5. I agree with Rob. Early gassers were homebuilt a lot of times anyway, and guys did what they needed to do to make 'er go. I think your idea is spot on!
  6. I think that's spot on Larsen. I'm trying to figure out how to put mine in and make it invisible from the outside. I figure if they stop you going well over the limit you're going to the pokey anyway!
  7. Yes, I like those wheels as well!
  8. Very nice. Well done Marcelo!
  9. Nice project! G'luck.
  10. I found this bit of info about Aussie modification rules. In particular the part about no roll cage. If you've got one you may want to hide it somehow. We are however scofflaws so... https://www.sa.gov.au/topics/transport-travel-and-motoring/motoring/vehicles-and-registration/vehicle-standards-and-modifications/chassis-and-body-modifications Roll cagesDue to the increased risk of occupant injury in vehicle accidents, fitting full roll cages is not permitted. However, fitting a half roll cage rearward of the driver may be acceptable providing that: no part of the roll cage can be contacted by vehicle occupants when positioned in their normal seating positionthe roll cage is at least 150 millimetres behind the front seat occupants when the front seats are located in the most rearward adjusted positionall rear seats and seat belt assemblies fitted in the rear compartment are removedthe operation and effectiveness of the front seat belt assemblies is not affected in any way by the roll cageno person travels in the rear of the vehicle at any timethe vehicle has a seating inspection carried out by the Department of Planning, Transport
  11. September check in for the Aussieball. I got some bench time in and got a rolling chassis. I didn't do the mods I wanted, mostly because of the limited room I had to add the other turbo. I did add a fabricated intercooler to the top of the engine and added a hump on the hood for clearance. I'm spending a lot of time on the interior to reduce weight and give it a racing vibe. I fabricated a snorkel today and primed the body. Moving along at a decent pace now.
  12. Sweet! Nice detail work.
  13. Very nice work!
  14. Thanks Bill. I agree, it would be nice on a 3x2 setup, or even a straight six using just one.
  15. Great tutorial, thanks Steven!
  16. Wow! A lot of good stuff here. Having never created a show quality build, I do know that it takes patience, and attention to detail. Perhaps one day I'll take a shot at one, but as of now those two things elude me. That's why I came back to the hobby in the first place, to improve in those areas so it will help me at work.
  17. Ditto. Old hands, and old eyes.

    Nice! Glad I clicked!
  19. Nice detail work!!
  20. I haven't, but I plan to put a couple on display, maybe in a case. One of the guys in the office across they way has a NASCAR curbside in his office so it's not a new idea there. One of the models I plan to display was given to me by one of the truck drivers and I'd like him to see I appreciate the gift as well.
  21. Wheeler Dealers, FantomWorks, Bitchin' Rides. They give me inspiration and motivation in building my models. Each of these do more in-depth building and less of the drama than some others, although there is some in every one because I believe the producers of these shows don't know car guys and think that every show has to have some ridiculous drama scene. I like Graveyard Cars but they have way too much drama. I also like Legendary Motorcars but I don't think they have a show anymore. They had a bit too much drama as well though.
  22. VCG Resins has a 396 that comes without a tranny, and also a separate TH400 for reasonable $.
  23. Nice work! I love the color.
  24. Very nice!!
