  1. Thanks 'Rass' I still say the top/first photo is Moulin Rouge (pink) Black and white. The reason I say this is because his jacket has 'red/orange' cuffs and a stripe that matches running up the front. That color does 'not' match the color on the car. If it were the photo being off that distinction could not be made. It could be an early version, (maybe the first?) of the car. All the other shots (excepting the Road Runner) show red/orange, white and blue.
  2. Jason, it looks like two completely different sets of colors to me. The top one looks like Moulin Rouge/Black/white while the bottom one looks like some kind of blue with an orange/red color and white. In fact after looking at the photographs it looks like two completely different cars (at least the bodies). Probably different 'Cuda years, '70 and '71? Someone will know for sure on the years.
  3. Ya, that's what I meant really when I said 'clear.
  4. Tommy, what parts did you get?
  5. So what was TS-71 created for? To be used as a top coat over a base coat somewhat like regular 'clear' is used? And has anyone used it for this?
  6. Thanks Michael, I wasn't trolling , (I think that's painfully apparent) but, I was off topic. My apologies everyone.

  8. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH, I don't have an air brush! So, how does Tamiya intend for this to be used? Over a base coat? Tulio and some other people use what would be more of a 'polish' than a wax Carl, something with a little grit to take the scratches and imperfections out of the plastic, and , his windshields always look 1:1 I've never done it so I'll experiment with some parts box windshields, which I have. And then I'll spray the plastic and see what happens, hope it doesn't go 'limo' on me, but , at least I'll know. Thanks for all the great tips and suggestions you guys, ya gotta love this hobby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gee, all I said was carp (re-arrange) and they BLAHED it, lol.
  9. That is beautiful Bruno, that's one of the best looking dragsters I've seen on here. Thanks for sharing the pics, nice work!
  10. Very cool Ron, that is the biggest engine I've ever seen in a car! What would the size in c.i.,.. of that thing be if you scaled it up to 1:1?
  11. Beautiful car Tamas! Looks great in black.
  12. Ivan, it's hard to see the car, it looks like you had lighting on one side only, there are lots of shadows. You might try taking advantage of some natural light (sunshine) for your next batch of photos, or , adding some lighting to what you already have. If there is 'gloss' on the finish (it looks like there might be) it's barely coming through because of the lighting. The best shot is of the underside, nice weathering on that.Otherwise it looks like a nice clean build, good job!
  13. That flying monkey's can spread viruses to humans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I use Tamiya gray & white primer(s). They work well. That's not to say that other primers don't work well. I have limited experience and the Tamiya stuff is easy to use so that's what I've latched onto in my desperate attempts at achieving quality paint jobs.
  14. This is really a two part question; What do people do (if anything) to prep their windshields before installation? I know some people use auto polish stuff for this and their windshields look amazing. The second part of the question is, I'm going to use Tamiya's transparent 'Smoke' to tint a windshield, can I use the auto polish method to prep the windshield 'before' I apply the tint? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. That is way cool, and a beautiful car. Thanks John
  16. Marcos, I found this article, hope it's the right car. http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/featuredvehicles/a_body/mopp_0912_1967_ss_b_plymouth_belvedere_ro23_and_1968_ss_b_plymouth_barracuda_bo29_web_exclusive_photos/photo_10.html
  17. That's beautiful, man, it just looks soooooooooooooooo ready to drive! That is if the box of parts in the passenger floor aren't needed!
  18. The looks of the car don't really do anything fro me, but , I'm sure driving it would produce different results.
  19. Anyone who has flying monkey's and is not afraid to use them is highly suspect.
