  1. I do like this one so far JC. Nice work adapting that hood over. Been out for a little bit so I need to go check out that Falcon of yours......................
  2. Well looky here!!! Another Monogram Camaro. Good color choice and I'm liking the BMF work.
  3. I really like this build so far as there are some good details in it that you're really bringing out. It's definitely bringing back some memories , that's for sure.
  4. You already know how I feel about this one.......................
  5. That's a familiar look. Fabulous progress.
  6. Tim it has been a truly great experience watching this beauty come together. I always learn a lot through watching your builds.
  7. Haven't seen this kit. Nice save on that warpage issue Dave.
  8. and with the completed SS grille and lower air deflector( from the more accurate Revell release) glued in place. Keep in mind that the whole front end is NOT glued onto the body yet hence the large gaps between the facia and body in front of the wheel wells and at the sides of the grill to body. Still working on correcting the stance at the front and still gotta bumper to go but that'll be one of the last things that gets installed.
  9. Sneak peek shot. Still got a lot of work left to do. I've gotta figure out what's keeping the "real" car body sitting up in the front some and have to level things out a bit in the rear due to being a little high on the drivers side but we're getting there.........
  10. You're sure to do that hangin' around this place. I came here around 4 years ago for the same reason as the forums that I was on at the time didn't lend themselves to as much help , or talent for that matter, as this place had. I have since found some of these helpful folks out and about in the modeling community on the other forums and am here to tell you that where ever you are now in modeling you can expect to get nothing but better as time progresses. Keep posting builds and pictures and ask LOTS of questions. Keep going no matter how big the successes or failures are and you'll blow yourself away with some of the tricks you'll be learning throughout your stay here. BTW........Welcome aboard Terry.
  11. Nice work Andre. Sweet!!!!
  12. Thanks a ton for your input Jeremy, Rusty, Carl , Randy and Erroll! Rusty: I really do appreciate the suggestion but I'm going to have to draw the line somewhere bud. I've thrown about everything I've got at this one (to include money) and am ready to get this one in the books. Not that I'm going to be in a rush to finish what I need to , just don't wanna add anything else to the list right now. Thanks again. Erroll: Thanks for your comments as well. Am I reading that right...........Afghanistan? Wow man! I spent a couple of years in Iraq about a decade ago.
  13. Both are excellent ideas and I appreciate you guys feedback. It'd suck to go through all the hell I've went through of getting everything the way I want with my 69 Camaro and goofing it all up with the emblem install. Thanks again fellas.
  14. Looks fantastic Tim!!!! What are you using to adhere your emblems to the body? I'm almost scared to death to put mine on as it's a fair amount of risk involved. lol
  15. Thanks Mike. I really appreciate that bud. I've got a long ways to go skill wise but I'm learning new stuff every day.
  16. Woooo Hoooooo!!!! PARTY!!!!
  17. Nice touch with the "1" ball. Really slick idea. Very cool work on that interior.
  18. Thanks Curt, James and Mike. Mike: I always enjoy your input. I did see that a lot of brake boosters had an anodized appearance in looking on line and through reference pictures. This not being a "numbers matching" SS396 Camaro , I chose to go with an artistic license and go black with it as I don't much care for the anodized look and try to use that sparingly (like on the brake reservoir cap). I did find some photos where folks did paint them black and to me they looked a lot better.
  19. A true masterpiece!!!! You should be VERY happy with that outcome. I've considered building the 1/35 version but like you say, it'll cost as much as my dang grocery bill!!
  20. Looks like it took you in a very good direction CJ!!! Totally Awesome work!!!
  21. I love the look that these kits produce! Awesome color and good turnout!
  22. LOL! Not quite Glenn. Thanks for the good word. I managed to get the master cylinder, brake lines and fittings completed a couple of days ago: and I got the obnoxious rear license plate under way. I'll install a couple of license plate retaining screws at the top of the license plate to top it all off. I've got most of the kinks knocked out of the grille after making some cuts and sanding back to the join areas. I've got the section all glued in and ready for paint. The headlight lenses are spare pieces and are being used for masking devices. See those stupid dots in the middle of the headlamp lenses? Yeah.............those! They'll be gone by the time I'm done with the grille. Here's a quick mock up of the engine compartment. Still have to mark the heater hoses for the clamps I'll be installing on them at the firewall connection, radiator hose fabrication and install and I'll be adding a windshield washer bottle on the radiator core support. I'll also be lifting the heater hose that has a little too much sag to it so that both heater hoses are routing closer together.
  23. I hear you JC. I always get nervous when I use that stuff too.
  24. The roof scoop is an interesting idea indeed and am looking forward to seeing how that's gonna mix with the rest of this fantastic build. Nice work on that hood Greg.
  25. Good to see this one over here as well Steve!! Will be watching in.
