  1. Turnin' out really good there Mike. Bummer about the transfer case but glad to see that you worked past it. Paint looks good as well. I've had the same problem out of the MM rattle cans but am now dispensing them into airbrush paint jars and shooting it through the airbrush.
  2. I've never caught any of your builds and I'm sure glad I was able to catch this one!!! Dude this is crazy sick!!!!! I freekin' love this!! What color is that? Root beer?
  3. That looks like its a pretty decent little kit. Lotsa lil' goodies in there. Good progress so far.
  4. Yep.............it's all there!!! Great paint , awesome stance, good detail!!!! I really like this build..................ALOT!!!
  5. Thanks Jeremy. Well folks, I was at home for two days this week sick. While I wasn't feeling good I thought I would do something that made me feel better, mood wise anyhow. I started by tackling pretty much the only modification that I'll be undertaking with this project which'll be mini tubbing out back for the larger meats that I'll be throwing under the back and narrowing the rear end. I robbed the tubs from the AMT 65 Nova kit which is now my "go-to" for all Pro Street projects it seems. I made the necessary cuts in the bed floor and the bed sidewalls. The cuts are a little dicey but they'll be hidden on the topside by a tub and on the bottom by a giant ass tire. and then made the necessary cuts to the Nova chassis and cut the width of the tubs down to size as well as trim/ clean all the edges of the tubs up. Here we are test fitted and ready to go. This is about a weeks worth of work normally that I've now got out of the way. Rear end is narrowed and set further upwards into the chassis in the name of lowering it even more. Had to make a number of mods to get the tire to fit in the fenderwell but I got it done. Here's the way it's going to sit in there: I've got an order in now for a Texas license plate that reads "DEMON II" and a decal for the rear window and front bumper that'll be clear except for the graphics and will look like so. Sorry Dodge fans.....it was just too dang appropriate!
  6. I've got a couple of ideas bouncin' around in my head about another modernized "Street Demons" build but this one will be centered around the Foose platform. I'll see what I can come up with to tweak things / shake things up a bit with this one. In order to stay within the 3 month guideline for the online contest at another site I'm going to have to go mostly OOB with this one with the exception of a couple of changes. I'll be going with the OOB engine but may stray from the OOB color scheme on it. Secondly, I cannot stand the wheel / tire set up in the box so I've already made the necessary mods to accept the wheel tire arrangement while still using the OOB suspension with a tweak or two. After playing around with the stance and finding some lower profile front skinny tires for it I've got the look narrowed down. I'm thinking a deep black paint job with some silver tinted ghost flames. Yeah........we'll be calling this one.............Demon II
  7. This build is still ongoing although I've had to put it back one slot due to a build that got moved ahead of it. Coming back to this one within the next couple of months gang.
  8. I like your spin on this kit Jeremy. Looks pretty dang sharp man!
  9. Very Nice Finish there Jeremy! You know......I did have this kit as a kid and I jacked it ALL up! lolol Love it dude!!
  10. LOLOLOL!!! Now that was funny right there. Lookin' good so far Dave!
  11. Thanks Carl for the comments and tuning in. I've been down...........but definitely not out on this build. I had some issues with the engine block and had to get another one coming. Under warranty of course.
  12. I saw one of those Capri kits over the weekend and wondered if this Mustang kit was a one shot wonder or not. Looks like..............not. lol
  13. Thanks Roberto for the comments. I do have two 90 models in the stash but don't think the front ends will swap out. I'll have to look again. I'm looking at doing this same thing with a 90 model LX though.
  14. What up Tom?? Great to see you over here man. Strap in dude! It's gonna be a ride!!!
  15. My 13 year old son was at our house all day with his Aunt yesterday and didn't want to get on his phone, tablet or Xbox like he usually does sooooooooooo...............he went into the hobby room and grabbed the Raptor kit that I bought him at the end of June and went to work. Evidently he worked on it trying to turn out the best build he could. When I got home last night he met me out in the drive way and led me into the hobby room to proudly show off his creation to me. I guess he's really gotten into the last couple of builds that I've been working on and wanted to follow suit. He was so happy with the results that I couldn't help but to clean it up just a smidgen more, take some glamour shots and put it on his computer as wallpaper and build a screen saver for him and to post it here for him. Hope you guys enjoy it. This is what he started with: I must say that I've been pleasantly surprised with the level of detail in the "Max" kits. Lotsa goodies in there for a Snap Tite kit. Here she is: and a shot of the interior. Again not bad for a snap kit:
  16. If I ever build mine in the stash, it's gonna look like this. Man that looks Bad A with those Draglites and those "meats" back there.
  17. Good lookin' build on this tough kit. I've heard a lot of horror stories about it but it looks like you whipped 'er into shape.
  18. Love the engine swap you did. Truck looks great Al.
  19. I like it!!! I agree with Dave as well about the black and white photos as it's a nice touch. Those acetylene and oxygen bottles rolling around in that truck bed with those gauges on and no caps would be a fun ride if they were knocked off. lol Good lookin build Simon.
  20. Looks good from what I can see Lanny! Must.......see......more.......pics.............. I love these trucks and am looking forward to building this one.
  21. LOL. This is the one I was thinking about. I only saw this one a handful of times but remember it like it was yesterday. lol Man those were some sharp cars!!!!
  22. I was working on these in a Pontiac dealership in Carrolton, Tx when these were brand new. That was the first year for the LS motor too and I remember distinctly feeling that butterflies in the stomach feeling you get when you're driving a decently fast car. I couldn't ever remember a factory car from earlier years doing that and it was a big difference over the LT-1's from the previous years. Not taking anything away from the LT's as they had their day in the limelight but those LS's were(and still are) da bomb!!! Looking forward to your take on this one Jeremy. P.S. I do remember that commercial. I think that's the one where it ate the competition and spit it out of the tailpipe wasn't it? lololol
  23. Looking good so far Jeremy. Looking forward to more.....................
  24. Thanks for the comments and information fellas. Hakan: Looks like I'm going to be looking for a dual sump pan. Thanks for the heads up bud.
