  1. Yeah right!!! lol You see, this would just kill me off. I did manage to switch back over to this build this morning. I installed the R/H inner fender well. I need to start completely over with the L/H one though as it doesn't fit right. Tsk, Tsk , Tsk and more tsk , tsk , tsk. Two steps forward and one step backwards. I'll get this thing done sooner or later I guess.
  2. After allowing the gray primer to dry and straightening out a couple of holes and cracks , I shot a coat of flat black on the whole engine for the pre shade effect and allowed to dry overnight. This morning I shot several light coats of red on and so far am happy with the results. I'll be masking the oil pan off and shooting that with a coat or two of aluminum after the red cures out. I've also started working on the valve covers. I'll be going with Alclad for those.
  3. Somehow I missed this one over at SA. Very nice work!!!
  4. This is a re-definition of scale modeling here. I'm sure you came from somewhere in modeling but I just can't imagine where. You're bringing a lot to the table with this one..........ALOT.
  5. No problemo buddy!
  6. Got this far after trimming and sanding the hek out of this thing. Got 'er primed to see any bad areas and will be throwing a coat of flat black on it tomorrow for the pre-shading.
  7. Welcome aboard Jeremy! You're gonna like this place..............ALOT!!!!
  8. Thanks Mike. I've always been drawn to the Cuda line up myself. Right now I'm looking for any more pictures I can get of this car. I've found about 10 photos of it but if anybody has a link on more information for this car I'd sure appreciate it.
  9. Great job on the fabrication of the batteries. Good stuff JC!
  10. Well I've reached that point with the '56 Ford to where I'm now sitting at the bench with little left to do but stare at the rest of the parts. Everything on it has an order it goes in and I can't skip a step and move on until I get the next small task in front of me done. Unfortunately it isn't a shake and bake time at the bench with it right now. I had to move to something that I could actually get my hands into in regards to building again so I laid everything out from the Ross Gibson engine and my AM Hillborn Fuel Injection set to display what I've actually got to deal with. I must say that so far I'm impressed. I'll be heading to the sink to wash all these parts up tomorrow morning. One of the neat things that the Gibson engine comes with is a little strip for the drive belt/ belts. Check it out: I'm really looking forward to building again. Hopefully this one doesn't take 9+ months to build.
  11. Love it , love it, love it!!!
  12. The detail........Jeez!!! Just can't get over all the detail!
  13. I really dunno what to say that hasn't been said already. I like it though.
  14. This is just crazy!! I love it!
  15. I've always liked this car since I was a kid . Good replication.
  16. Hey there Kevin! Welcome to a great forum.
  17. Thanks Dave. I'm tryin' to get it done but it seems like one thing after another keeps popping up in my house. Repair here , upgrades there.....you know the deal.
  18. Whoa ho ho!!! Haven't seen this one. Looks like you're doing wonders on a build that a lot of folks would have their work cut out for 'em.
  19. John: Those are the kit parts. I just have to line the hood up snuggly before mounting those up. It's getting closer alright. Thank God!!! lol Tom: Thanks a lot good buddy!!!
  20. Tim: LOL! Not a chance!! It's a lot more work than what shows in the pic I'll tell you that! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well. Cool score on the new acquired Mustang BTW. Dan: Thanks pal! You know......I didn't add those bolts yet. Gotta take care of that and thanks. Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving as well.
  21. Well I had to sum up where I'm at with this build. There's hardly any parts left for assembly but my main issue is fit and assembly order. The steps can't go on until the body and bed are mounted up permanently, the windows can't go in until I've got all the work in the cab done, cab can't go on until the inner fender liners are installed, bumpers are the last thing to go on and I haven't decided if I'm going to use that outside rear view mirror yet........ All in all here are the parts that I have left to install, and my "To Do List" ... 1. Install rear bumper 2. Install front bumper 3. Space front of body up on frame for proper engine to hood clearance 4. Install gas cap 5. Install hood hinges onto hood 6. Install hood onto body 7. Connect engine coolant hoses to radiator 8. Install rear view mirror and dice 9. Install windows into cab 10. Install body onto frame 11. Install bed onto frame ensuring the alignment of cab and bed 12. Install both sidesteps after cab and bed are installed. 13. Fabricate interior/ engine compartment isolators onto body 14. Install outside rearview mirror?? 15. Install both inner fender wells As you can see, we are down to the last fiddly bits. I'm already cleaning up the bench for the next build......
