Now that sucks! As far as windshield cracks and dings go.....I freekin' gave up. I work near a refinery and with all the gravel all the fleet trucks have in their tires it's a joke to think that any windshield would survive unscathed for more than a months worth of trips by there.

As stated at "the other place" I really like the use of the spring retaining hardware. Where do you get that stuff at????

Niiiiiiice!!!! Great work JC. Your patience and hard work definitely paid off here!! -
Thanks Carl. Yeah I plan on allowing the doors to open but before I do that I've got a lot of clean up to do on the doors and body. As of now I had to ditch the idea of the trailing arm suspension just because it just wouldn't work here. What I did do instead was, from my way of thinking, a little unorthodox in the fact that I removed the original spring perches from the build frame and graphed the ones from the spare parts frame onto the one from the build. I know it's not correct but I'll be able to lower the rear suspension down about 1/4" to put the wheel/ tire assy where I want it and have about 1/8" tweeking room. I've still got to brace them up a little better with some spare resin stock that I've got to clean up the appearance and have to trim up some on the truck bed so that it sits all the way down on the frame in the front (about 1/32"-1/16") but here's the current progress so I can at least show that I'm building on this. and a little closer:

Now that is just cool to have a blast from the past like that even in pictures Kevin. If you ever want a trip down memory lane there has been a recent re-release of it.

You certainly picked the right place to gather information on that subject. I've learned stuff here that other sites wouldn't share. It's like the information is proprietary to them. "MINE! MINE! MINE!". lol -

That body work looks great Kevin! I would have done this to mine but that's the price to be paid for going with the molded body color and using only clear coats. Looking good with the build. -
I haven't posted anything on here in a while but have now got the engine mount situation figured out and am ironing out the rear suspension set up. I looked twice at the trailing arm suspension set up for the rear and that's not going to work out. I'm going to reposition the rear leaf spring perches higher up on the frame rail to lower the rear down. I'll be posting pics tomorrow after cleaning up some of the grinding and sanding that I've been doing to the rear portion of the frame. It'll work out...........it's just going to take some time here.

Not shown in the Under Glass photos is the dash and interior. I just couldn't get the lighting to cooperate. Overall interior shot:( I did end up changing the shifter out to the correct wood grain shifter handle) Dash: and a couple more from the engine bay: -

John: Thanks man! As far as a temporary home goes...I just couldn't part with it again right now. lol. James: I appreciate the comments. I think the engine bay is where the build really started to run me! lol Dennis: Thanks for the kind comments. The air cleaner and several detail parts to include all firewall plastic detail as well as the air cleaner came from Revell Challenger kit #85-4213. The air cleaner alone was such a vast improvement that I had to change it out from the original part.
