  1. Lee: Thanks buddy! Jim: Thank God! I'm enjoying this build but it's time to move on another one! lol Thanks for the comments Jim!
  2. Thanks Don! Well I'm assuming that the color is factory. I chose to keep the body the color it was molded in. Carl: Oh Carl....I found those keys! Well guys I think (unless something pops up or doesn't look right ) I'm finished with the engine bay.....finally! The pics came out really bright and the body color looks more pink than anything else but I wanted to bring out the detail and the only way was to brighten the photos up a little. Later pics will be in normal colors. After this I moved on to the rear valance, tail light and bumper assy. Then it'll be the rear spoiler and a couple of other piddly things. Here goes: ( I do have to get that dust offa there don't I) We go from this (which is at least acceptable for my younger years) To this:(I do, however, need to get rid of that dust!!!)
  3. Looks good so far Andre and that is a nice color on that build. Interior and engine work are great!!
  4. Looks great buddy! I can't get over the uniformity and level of attention and detail that you are giving each and every one of these things Tom!! One to go.........
  5. I've always thought these were the coolest trucks and this one just topped that!
  6. One word...........I uh.....well uh.............forget it....................
  7. The plans are to use some Weld Draglites that I got from Competition Resins. These wheels are my faves and will be used on most of my builds.
  8. Dang Kevin!!! Now that's a set up!!! Lookin' forward to pics....must....have .....pics......
  9. Whatever gets the job done is what I always say.
  10. That's gonna look suuuuuweeeeet!!
  11. Ellen: I appreciate the information on the fenders. I'm probably going to keep the same fenders though. Rob: My plan is to keep the slicks but will figure that out as time progresses. What usually happens when I get started is the build ends up dictating to me what the next step is. lol . BTW I like your signature block. David: I like the idea on the pill bottles. I never woulda thought of that!! My wife is a nurse so these are a freekin' dime a dozen around here so I may try this route if all works out. Anything besides all that junk just hanging out there from the fender area! The plans so far are to go with a 429 Boss under the hood. We'll see......
  12. Man this build is da bomb!!
  13. Heeey man!!! That's lookin' good so far!!
  14. Good work on the springs big guy!! Motor work and paint are looking great as always from you Tim!!
  15. I'm tryin' to Carl!! Where in the hek did I leave them sonsabeeches this time?????????????? Man thanks Richard! I still can't get over that diorama you're building.......sheesh!!!
  16. Thanks Dave and Jeff. I really appreciate the comments fellas. Hopefully I'll get past this hiccup and get some real progress done this weekend.
  17. Dude this is red hot!!!
  18. Thanks Tom! You're right about the clamps. You know it happens to me every time in a build. I get near the end and get in a hurry and for whatever reason, forget stuff like this. I took a step backwards today and removed both heater hoses, made the clamps and will re-touch the hoses up with the black paint to make 'em look like rubber again. Actually I was trying to figure out how I was going to touch these things up with a brush "in-car" but now that they are out I'll shoot the two hoses with the AB to give them both a smooth look so there is a silver lining in the cloud. I've just gotta pull back on the reigns and slow down a little that's all. Thanks for looking folks, Joe
  19. I'm really looking forward to the paint job on this one Tim. You've definitely inspired me to use acrylics on my next build.
  20. Thanks Mike! LOL. As far as updates this morning, I installed the voltage regulator on the firewall with the circuitry and installed the heater hoses. I still have to work with the heater hoses in terms of touch up and "natural lay" but I've got 'em on there nonetheless. a little closer.... When I sit back and compare my mock up car to the car-to-finish I can't help but notice the contrast between what came from the box and what is here. A blank slate from the factory.....wow. At least half of what I added should have been there from Revell. Oh well ....shoulda , coulda , woulda.......... OOB firewall: upgraded firewall:
  21. That's great about the support for the cabin. I've thought about doing something like that where I live currently but my back yard is too small. I figure in a few years we'll be moving(hopefully) to a bigger plot and I'll be able to pull something off like this. Thanks for the details by the way!
  22. The word "precise" comes to mind here! That steering rack is amazing. Just looking forward to the next update!
