  1. Can't beat it with a stick Dan! I like the fact that you took a lesser known rig are making a striking work of it. Looking good all the way around on this build pal!
  2. I've got a soft spot for B-25's and this is a good representation of one. Nice job Tony!
  3. Thanks Jim and Dan! I appreciate the vote of confidence Jim. Dan I hope to have some updates for tomorrow.
  4. Great lookin' build Tim! Definitely a show winner!
  5. Dangit Jim! This build is just leading the way in my book. Everything is there in terms of talent and skill dude! What did you use for hose clamps again?
  6. Man I hear you about the bad old days there Pat! You're puttin' alot of effort into this build and your patience and persistence will pay off. That CAT engine looks good as well. Lots of little "goody" detail on that puppy.
  7. Thanks Tom and Tim! I'll be applying the amber over it. It worked pretty good for the rear side markers with a good layer of paint.
  8. I got the rear side markers painted today after applying the BMF to it and I bought some Turn Signal Amber paint today for the front two markers which I'll paint tomorrow morning. Just a couple of pics for today so I can show at least some progress today. and the front with the original front clip dry fitted into place. Front marker light has the BMF laid down and I'll be painting the amber over the BMF at the lens area in the morning.
  9. Ummm.....I've got a Dragon Me 262 in the stash.......................I'll be right back! Ok (5 minutes later) it wasn't as bad as I thought. Must be due to its age! Whew!
  10. Thanks Lee and Tim! Go for it Tim!
  11. While I'm not a big Corvair fan, I do like this! Totally awesome build!!!
  12. Good ol' W bodies! Looks good Wayne! I've worked on alot of these things and can easily say that interior looks very realistic. You're right about 'em not being fast too! Just too heavy a car for a 3400 or even a 3800 V-6 although those 3800's were some tough motors. The least GM could have done would have been to put one of those low baller superchargers on them like they did with the late 90's Pontiac GTP's or heavy Buicks like the Ultras, Park Avenues or Rivieras!!!
  13. That's cool! The interior looks totally awesome!
  14. Wished they'd do that in the aircraft world! Well..................I guess they do. I currently have an Eduard Royal Class 109G next up on my bench with a separate brassin engine kit/ set(this thing really is a kit of its own!) and there's plenty of parts to go round!! (Two of everything--sprues, PE, decals, etc.)
  15. Thanks Don! I'm hitting the BMF on the body again this morning covering all of the side marker lights and the passengers side door handle. I'm not gonna bother with pics yet until I've got some more progress to report. With any luck I'll have the exterior done soon.
  16. If I'm going to go extensive with the build I buy two or sometimes three kits for a build and then, like Tom don't open the additional kits until I need them. I do the same thing with the plastic wrap. lol
  17. This looks to be a good build, especially from you! Never heard of the Smart Kit lineup. Is that like a kit with alot of extra goodies in it?
  18. This looks like it belongs in the shows already! You've got a knack for turning out consistent good finishes on your paint Tim. Lookin good buddy!
  19. Man that's just gonna look suuuwweeet!!!
  20. This stuff has been advised to me around here and works great!
  21. Dang it dude! This is gettin' down to the nitty-gritty with this build! Wow!!
  22. Thanks Dan! Hoping to hit the bench again today and still get all the "honey do's" done! lol
  23. Well I've gotten the back window trim and the drivers side door handle done this morning. Nest up are the passengers side door handle and all the side marker light BMF and painting.............
  24. Yikes!!! Too low of an airspeed that close to the ground! Dude's lucky to have survived it!
  25. I enjoy watching the WIP's on these kits. I have one in my stash and have plans on building it after I watch several more of these builds and feel my building skills have improved to the point to where I can do one of these kits justice. Will be following along here.
