  1. Problem solved....I used some goo-gone product with a cotton tip swab then a little warm soapy water. That did exactly what I wanted.
  2. Looking very well planned and executed. This should be fun watch unfold.
  3. Thanks Ace. Great and very creative solution for that unusual body shape..
  4. I have some large dios that are too large to fit into any of my five display cases. I have them on top of the cases covered with pieces of bed sheets to keep as much dust as possible from accumulating. I also use a very soft bristle brush for dusting them off before displaying them in public.
  5. Great model with outstanding creativity and skills obvious. The background photo op dio is very realistic as well. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
  6. Thanks for posting this one. That is one of my all-time favorite movies. I scored a lifesize full color card board cut out of this bot at a movie rental store several decades ago. He now holds a place of honor standing guard in one corner of my model room.
  7. Great models. Thanks for sharing your craftsmanship with us.
  8. That is the most realistic drool I have ever seen. Congratulations. Please tell us about your research.
  9. Don't you love it when a plan comes togeather !
  10. While in Myrtle Beach last week on vacation I spotted a full size Transformer VW at one of the restaurants along highway 17 south. This one about 20 feet tall and surely gets your attention as you drive by. I did stop and take a number of detail pictures for reference later. FYI we had to leave town one day earlier than planned due to hurricane Florence. The governor ordered a mandatory evacuation Monday so we did just that.
  11. Good luck with those "negoitations" !
  12. Thanks. I had no clue that they worked in that way. I always wonder what ever motivated the original designers to start with the concept of something like a stationary crank and a rotating engine. Amazing how creative some people can be in situations like that,
  13. the owners real '25 Dodges are going to be really outraged that you cheated on that detail. You should accept the fact that hate mail will follow:)
  14. To call the basic body you started with "crude" would be way too kind. I love the 'sloper" profile and applaud your efforts to correct it. Those projects are very gratifying when completed and anyone who sees it when finished will surely appreciate your work. I have corrected some pretty crude resin stuff myself and have always sought to work on those a little at a time by correcting door and other openings in one session, then trim and moldings at another time, etc. I will be watching your progress with much intrest.
  15. Very neat stuff I must say! I will of course buy them for keeping and will display the purple passion with my collection of the purple passions HW's that I display on one wall of my model room. Thanks form posting this.
  16. It appears that the cylinders are rotating as well as the prop. Is that an optical illusion ?
  17. Very interesting. Should be fun to watch develop.
  18. JF also offers the track nose version shown in that vintage black and white picture. Whoever did his master used the exact same main body casting from the cowl back as the Bonneville version. Both are interesting pieces so I bought both then decided the Bonneville piece was the one needing me the most. I may put eight exhaust headers exiting the hood at ground level hinting at straight eight motivation hidden within.
  19. HiThanks for the pictures as they answer one basic question of how the frame rails look exiting that narrow nose. Thanks also for adding the side photo of the basic JF casting, as I wonder what those indentations on the side of the hood are for. They are only on one side. I am tempted to fill that in a use either weed burner or zoomie headers. I will probably use tall and skinny JF resin disc wheels and tires on this build. This will be a slammer as anyone who has this piece knows Jimmy put huge crossways supports inside that would require Hours of grinding I am Not going to do. Please keep the ideas and suggestions coming.

  21. Has anyone built the Flintstone '34 Ford Bonneville chopped coupe? If so what suspension and wheel and tires dud you use?
  22. Outstanding quality and attention to realistic details. This is one of those models we could spend hours looking at and constantly finding new wonderful things to marvel at.
  23. Top shelf build. Thanks for sharing.
  24. Any update available? I am waiting to see more pix taken after the salt is scrubbed away.
  25. No pix to share as I do n o t know how to post,but....we are in Myrtle Beach on vacation an this is Mustang week again so they are everywhere in droves with little stoplight challenges at almost every corner and lots of engine revving going on. I have since talked to some Mustang owners that were there and they told me that over 900 cars were registered for this years show. I also spotted an Australian built Holden(Chevy) Super Sport and was able to talk to the driver for a moment. On the way down here from Ohio I saw a restored mid '20's model T Ford roadster pickup in the front yard of a farm house and a '50's "bread sled" style delivery van in a barn yard in North Carolina. Another cool road side spot was a small block Chevy V8 motor on a post at the roadside with a mailbox air cleaner. We stopped at a huge road side fruit farm today that has a small museum with several unique vehicles on display including a 1913 International flatbed truck and a '52 Crosley convertible. For a gearhead like me pretty interesting couple of days.
