  1. Is this 1/25th scale ?
  2. Amazingly realistic. Did you have full access to the house for measuring and photography or possibly to some original blueprints? This has got to huge and difficult to transport. Does it come apart to be moved? Thanks for sharing your considerable talent with us.
  3. Now that really shows off the true nature of the metallic finish. Thanks for posting the new photo.
  4. If possible please post photos of this coupe taken from a street level rather than from atop a 20 foot pole so we can see the finish as we would view it normally. Thanks.
  5. We would love that and look forward to it for sure,!!
  6. I would suggest using a second frame and engine block for experimenting and test fitting thus saving the "good stuff" from possible damage.
  7. If you are looking for inspiration from photos of real Ford model T coupes I suggest looking to the internet. There a thousands of images of real Model T's there. Good luck and please post pix of your build as you progress.
  8. What I can see looks good. I am reserving judgment on the rest untill you show us the front and rear styling. Please share more photos.
  9. Watching you develop your model makes me wonder about all the decisions that had to be made by the builders of the original real car. Probably a lot of heated discussions, torn up design idea sketches etc before the final design was decided on.
  10. Righteous grouping of Ford coupes brother. All built with typical Boyd attention to real word details and period correct paint. Thanks for sharing !
  11. THAT would be a once in a lifetime street sighting of one of the rarest cars in existence. That exhaust note was really also very cool. Thanks for sharing that one.( Sorry about using the word THAT so many times)
  12. Steam punk gizmology at it's best,That would look right at home in my model display room between the two ray guns I built a couple years ago from found objects. Thanks for sharing.
  13. I hope this is in the correct section to attract the most readers possible. I just received a copy of Tim Boyd's newest book"Collecting Muscle Car Model Kits".It is published by Car Tech,Inc.from Forest Lake,Mn. For those interested in locating a copy for yourself.the ISBN number is 978-1-61325-395-3.This a 175 page glossy, full color book that really covers all model car kit production from it's earliest days to the current adult oriented focus group. The color photos alone will make vintage model kit builders and collectors want to look through their own collection and most probably renew a lot of interest in filling in those "most wanted" slots in your stash of vintage kits. This is without a doubt the most in depth and throughaly documented book about our hobby currently available. You will find glossary of terms involved with the production of model kits along with some seldom seen info about the major kit manufacturers themselves. Overall I highly recommend this book for all those of us who have a common love for this hobby and can almost guarantee you will come away with a better understanding of all that's involved in the production, collecting and building of muscle car model cars.
  14. Love the paint tech. The white looks like the images I have seen of the space shuttle on high altitude re-entry with the extreme heat streaming of the edges. Very cool indeed. Thanks for posting the excellent close up photos. They show extreme detail normally not visible when drooling over it in person.
  15. Very creative. Thanks for sharing.
  16. I'm liking it a lot so far.
  17. Very clever name for the truck door. Nice touch.
  18. I am 75 and a half and have been building for 60 years except for a span of a few years following the death of our oldest son. The people I met during those years are some of my best friends now. I overall have nothing but great memories of those six decades and am still planning what I want to build next. The body ages, aches and in general wants to limit my building time but the ol brain just keeps working on what's next.
  19. I have looked at AITM' s website and will probably order their 18" Mack front wheel and tires for this project. Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions.
  20. Thanks for posting that photo, but I really hate to buy that kit for just the wheels and never plan on using any of the rest of the kit.
  21. Maybe it's just me or the camera angle but the whole car looks curved from front to back along the side. It's pretty obvious that whoever did the master for this model has never seen a real '58 Impala convertible.
  22. Great idea taking your body paint photos against a black background. Looking really nice.
  23. Great looking build. I'm sure a lot of Impala owners were saddened when someone at Chevrolet management decided to eliminate the rear wheel drive Super Sports. Thanks for sharing yours.
