  1. Great side by side comparison photo. Thanks for sharing that.
  2. Thanks for the retro workbench photo. That could have been taken in the 60's except the photo would have probably been a black and white.
  3. I have considered using an apron with a set of strainers built in to filter out food crumbs of various sizes and thus making the plastic stuff easier to find :).
  4. "someone" does that stuff on my workbench also. I should probably set up a secrity camera to see if I can catch the culprit.
  5. You might also try on of the Molotow liquid chrome pens for sone of the smaller chrome trim. Those are available at all Hobby Lobby sores in both the model card paint and marker sections.I you decide to do this be sure log onto their website and print one of their 50 percent discount coupons as these cost north of 10 dollars each.
  6. Ixnay on the endesrfay!(pig Latin for nix on the fenders).
  7. I was hoping to see some added exterior body armored panels attached for extra protection those undead attackers. With the Excellent Indeed angled factory installed side body sheet that will naturally deflect thrown projectiles,an extra layer of plates of unobtabium 60 in critical areas including over those tires would increase the life expectancy of the patrolees greatly. Some panels around that 50 cal like those on humvees would also serve to protect the gunner in a most wonderful way.Jus trying to help.
  8. These lights are now available 3D printed from Shapeways. I have a couple pair and they are incredible.
  9. Cool, must be a handy tool in your line of work. I've never seen anything like it. I see that kind of thing and am amazed at the thought process that inspired some obviously intelligent person to develop a device like that one.
  10. OK I give up,what is it ?
  11. I had a similar system on my office cubicle at work. I had a dummy hand grenade with a note on the bottom of the mounting plaque that said "Complaint dept.please take a number" and the pin had a little tag on it with the number one on it. No one ever complained.:)
  12. Looking very good. Your inside trunk support piece adds a seldom seen detail that looks perfect.
  13. Beautifully done and a true benchmark build. I read the list of where the parts were sourced and I think of how things about how our common hobby has changed since this kit was first released. Today there are hundreds of aftermarket sources for all types of parts to improve this build. A few decades ago all we had was whatever came in the box. Thanks for taking and posting your excellent photos for inspiration for the rest of us.
  14. The tonneau covers look just right. Very approriate for this size car. If you're going to add any weathering you might consider some dark exhaust blast discoloration where the header exits over the light colored sheet metal.
  15. Looking legit. This will fun to follow through to the finish. Remember that If you are indeed going to build a TROG car one of the rules for their cars is no fenders.
  16. Thanks for the info. I normally order their rivets by the thousands so I 'd better order up for future projects.
  17. I use rattle can flat black on resin tires then a light buffing with a soft cotton cloth produces a very acceptable finish to my eye.
  18. Paint is looking super slick and smooth on that body.Certainly a great start.
  19. Thanks for clarifying that point.
  20. Thanks for including some pictures taken of the rare items seen at the swap meet also. Not very often this type of our model history is photographed and shown.
  21. We were able to set up at the Cincinnati swap meet thanks to the lead we got here. Any know of any more spring or summer model swap meets ?
  22. I personally do not care for the overall design but would love to hear it run at full throttle. I think the Chinese on the back might translate to "you'd lose"
  23. We were in a casino this past weekend that advertises they have had Awarded $ 160,554,599.39 in jackpot money to 49,141 winners since they opened a couple years ago. I am trying to figure out what that average out to but of course my calculator will not accept that many digits. All assistance appreciated with the solution.
  24. I saw this at the contest Saturday and heard the award announced. Well deserved. Honestly, your posted photos actually show the details better than seeing it from a distance on the table for my old eyes. Truly a model to be proud of.
